Being in CT, I don't get WEEI - but on the way up to the Sox game Monday, listening in for about 40 minutes was sickening.

Immediately following a call-in interview with Tedy Bruschi, the first callers opening word's were "First off, that's all nice and all Tedy, but the Pats are 3-2 and have no Brady, they're done. Sox are in the ALCS and this is a baseball town, anyways..."

The caller was then eventually hung up on for hinting at the Red Sox possibly being racist. Disgusting.

To be honest, when it comes to Boston fans (the topic of this thread), I don't know that it's being spoiled so much as still being incredibly cynical and bitter from all the heartbreak from the Sox before 04. It's the opposite of spoiled, a lot of people are just really, really pessimistic and hard.

People who are exclusively or mainly Pats fans (typically non-Bostonians) or new fans don't have that excuse, though.

I didn't think line 5 was very fair. Its not just Boston fans who think Cassel sucks. Go to any message board, for any NFL team, and ask if Cassel sucks. I am sure it will be unanimous. Besides that.............great post.

Actually, what i say is that we lost the Best player in the NFL so expect a tough year, the only way the Patriots were going to stay elite was with a superior D and thats not happening.

As for the Sox, they had a great year but Tampa is just the better team right now, better pitching, better clutch hitting and healthier, hungrier young guys. Not to mention that Papi, Varitek, Ellsbury are automatic outs and Beckett should not even be pitching.

Better seasons next year for both teams. Good future.

When I first moved here in 95' there was 2 here, but they closed. now, they finally came back. there's 2 more opening up, but the one down the street from me is open, and my diet is in trouble.
