I'm sure those of you who claim to be able to read the minds of everyone in the NFL who know that the lack of fan respect could never serve to fire up a team will be surprised to read about how the Chief used that to spur them on to victory over the Broncos.
You'll probably have some way to spin it since you've invested quite a bit in to the absolute that negative feedback can never have a positive consequence but read for yourselves:

Who do you think Herm was referring to when he said "no one respects you... no one expects anything from you" - You don't think there's the slightest chance he was referring to the fans who have been booing the very poor performances of the Chiefs?
You don't think there's even the teeniest tiniest bit of chance he was using the booing fans to help spur his team on, chiding them for their lack of passion (i.e. not giving 100%)?
Do you think it would have been helpful to Herm if the KC fans had decided to loudly and consistently cheer mediocrity and a lack of passion?
I'm sure you'll have some spin as to why Herm wasn't talking about the fans - I'm looking forward to all of your responses.

“He did a great job all week,” guard Brian Waters said of Herm. “He told us, ‘You ought to be fed up. You ought to be tired. No one respects you. No one expects anything from you.’”
