can someone please ban this moron?

Keegs, Ian would have to ban half the board right now. I wasnt able to watch the game, but i'm amazed at how many people on here are claiming to know more than B.B.

C'MON PEOPLE, ITS ONLY THE 3RD GAME!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ACT LIKE WE HAVE NEVER LOST BEFORE.

this is coming from someone that has a LeKevin Smith signature. LMAO! Chad Jackson is not even on the Pats and he plays more than LeKevin! loool

LeKevin is on the team, and i'm pretty godamn sure he had a sack in the Superbowl this past season.

Chad Jackson was cut and currently isn't on a team.

You come off as a Chad Jackson fan before a pats fan.

And if you were ever going to praise a pats WR, it should be Gaffney. Everything he's gotten here, he's earned. He gets paid crap compared to other Wideouts and I can't ever remember him having a bad game for the pats. CJ came into the league acting like he deserved it, and never did a damn thing. Get your crap straight

ummmm, being that Bill kept Lekevin, and let Jackson go, maybe you should get a clue. Or perhaps, you're one of the people who know more about football than B.B. ?

BB makes mistakes too, hes human.

so his mistake being what? that he let jackson go? Whats ole c-jack up to right now?

yes his mistake was letting Jackson go, he didnt even give him a chance. You all can call him a bust, and i can call him a good football player, but the fact remains that he only played sparingly his rookie season, then tore his acl. He hasnt even PLAYED yet, wait till he has a few seasons under his belt and you will see we let a good one get away. If you dont think he is going to sign somewhere and play you are a neanderthal, he will eventually play and alot of people will be eating large doses of crow.

Well, for starters, I've never said c-jack sucks. Reason being, is that I trust that B.B. knows more about player evaluations than me, you, or most everybody on this board. Maybe Bill let him go because he just wasnt right for the Pats, and their system. I wish Jackson well, but bottom line he's gone. MOVE ON.

he could be brought back, players get cut all the time and get resigned. Not saying it will happen but to say hes gone for good isnt true. Eckle was cut and hes back on the pats now.

BB has made plenty of mistakes, one glaring one right now is Matt Cassel.

Briz - While I agree that it doesn't seem like Chad Jackson got a fair handshake for the WR position. In ll likelihood, his time with the Patriots is done. He hasn't caught on with a team yet, so that isn't a good sign for him either. I had high hopes for Jackson, but I was wrong. He's gone and he's not walking through that door any time soon. And, even if he did, he wouldn't solve the O-line woes that this team has.

DB your probably right, i doubt the pats bring him back (even though Gaffney, Washington, Aiken, Jones are doing squat). We need a deep threat opposite Moss to reduce the double teams he is getting, we just dont have that now, with Jackson we would. Pats would be wise to bring Jackson back, but he will probably sign elsewhere.

Oline has stunk kinda, Yates is beyond horrible, we really need Neal back. Kazcur getting schooled like usual. Cassel in there doesnt help things either, guy has no pocket presence and takes sacks out the rearend. OConnel could alievate that somewhat, he has better pocket presence and is etremely good on his feet and able to buy time. But we still dont have any stud tackles so we will always have ups and downs on the oline.

Having a "deep threat" opposite Moss isn't going to help this offense right now. Not until the O-line plays light years better than today.

And please, when there is no pocket because the o-line has been pushed back into it, its hard to have "pocket presence."

Lets talk about the sacks today.

1st one - Joey Porter beat Light sacked Cassel. That is Cassel's blind side. Also, Yates and Koppen had both been pushed back so its not like Cassel had anywhere to step up to avoid Porter.

2nd one - Philip Merling. Very next play, Merling beats Mankins and takes Cassel down.

3rd one - Porter uses an outside move to get by Kaczur and Cassel has no where to step up to.

Sorry, but O'connell hasn't shown JACK for pocket presence except against 4th stringers. He's another guy that you insist on over-hyping. BTW, O'Connell showed great presence stepping up and taking that sack from Joey Porter.

Based on what we saw out there today, I'm not sure the 2008 Patriots are good enough to tank games. That implies some basic ability to control the outcome of games. I didn't see much of that today.

This is basically the same kind of performance that we saw throughout preseason. At some point, you just have to say, "it is what it is".

With that defense, I don't see many games in the "W" column.

well unfortunately "it is what it is"

I can only imagine the conversation BB had with the team after the game then with his staff....

Wouldn't imagine it was a friendly convo.....

Actually, its not the same kind of performance we saw in pre-season. In fact, in pre-season, we saw many of our second stringers playing on the starting O-line, and starting many of the games.

We didn't see Mankins and Koppen getting manhandled like they'd never played the positions before. You definitely didn't see Welker out there and moss was very limited.

Its amazing the sorts of "analogies" people come up with to try and make it sound like they had a clue that the Pats were going to have one bad game this early in the season.

Listen guy or gal, can't you tell that you are not liked, respected, or welcome here? People are actually intoning your name to insult people: "You sound like briz". Your insight lacks sight, your theories are moronic, you have no understanding of the game or the team, you seem to think you know more than the Pats' brass but you never do anything except repeat yourself, and you have the vocabulary of an eel. You're just a terrible, awful poster, and for the sake of the internet, you should stop.

And congratulations for joining my ignore list. The list now consists of 1.

now thats funny. only laugh ive had tonight

I've thought this for a while, but now im pretty convinced that Briz and Brady to Moss are either troll buddies or the same damn person.

It's just nonstop negativity and Chad Jackson hype.

It makes no sense whatsoever.

Definately something goin on there.
Roomates in the same nut-house maybe.
Or the same junior high study hall.

+ 1

Great post. Too many Madden players here who think a 3rd round rookie is simply going to turn up and be a superstar. You cant play when your whole oline is getting slaughtered. Even Manning is struggling this year without as a good an oline

This team has more problems that just QB - however I will say that IMHO I do think we need a vet QB to help settle the whole team down

Hmm, how to put this. Yes, there are numerous problems. The defense, for example, is a big one right now. However, good qb play can disguise some bad defense. Cassel is a large problem right now, in my opinion moreso than the defense, because he can`t seem to throw past 5-10 yards with any effectiveness.

No one wants to address the inept Matt Cassel facts, it's fruitless, just focus on the crap-a@@ defense we saw yesterday. This is Patriot-ville, Matt Cassel is going to lead this team to Tampa, couldn't you tell that from his performance yesterday and over the last 4 years when he has played?
