Thread 'May 22: Happy 39th birthday to Julian Edelman'
Today in Patriots History Julian Edelman Sometimes trading down works better than one could have possibly hoped for. On April 26, 2009 the Patriots traded their third round pick (3.73) to Jacksonville, for a Jaguars seventh round pick (7.232) and a second round pick in the following year's draft (2010 2.44) Jacksonville drafted Derex Cox, a solid but not spectacular corner who had a five-year NFL career. The Patriots drafted a quarterback from Kent State that they planned on...
Didn’t realize we played the Bucs this year in Trampa. Any of you all going to the game? Thinking about making the drive from Borelando. Maybe hit up the nightlife after if there’s any and in the condition to. Anyone have any suggestions other than stay out of bad neighborhoods, which Tampa has plenty of…

Watching the Forged series and trying to wonder if Kraft is still running the show or just for appearances (with Jonathan running behind the curtains) I wonder when the decision was made. I think these 3 games, the Cardinals game, Chargers and Bills (last game) , probably a sum of everything produced this decision because they were all awful on full display games, obviously from a legal/HR standpoint it was the last game when they won the Bills they announced the decision but, do you think...
Every team wants an elite QB. But what’s the best way to get one? The discussion of Purdy’s extension suggests there are different strategies, so which is best? Is it better to churn through candidates until one emerges? Or sign a good prospect hoping they’ll get better? It might be instructive to look at the last few elite QBs to see how they emerged. That raises another question: who are they? For starters, who are the last five generational QBs to play in the NFL? Two are easy...
Thread 'May 19: Happy Birthday to John Friesz'
Today in Patriots History He can tell his grandkids about his time with the Pats when he came off the bench for an injured Drew Bledsoe Or he can talk about the time he was two spots above Tom Brady on the Pats depth chart Happy 58th birthday to John Friesz Born May 19, 1967 in Missoula, Montana; hometown Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Patriot quarterback, 1999-2000; uniform #17 Signed as a veteran free agent on April 22, 1999 Pats résumé: two seasons, two games John Melvin Friesz was 32 when...

Part of that probably has something...
Well the sched is out and it’s safe to say we are not getting new uniforms for some strange reasons … but hopefully the smart people will let them wear blue jersey with silver pants but the team is allowed to wear throwbacks or alternate … my guess Pitt throwback Cleveland throwback Jets rivalry uniform Bills throwback

OTA's start Monday. Will be interesting to see veteran attendance. I would expect close to 100% given the new coaching staff. OTA dates: May 19-20, May 22, May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5
Harry was such a bust that he deserves having his name spelled K’Neal. The judges will also accept Ken Sims I wouldn’t call Bo Jackson a “bust” like the others on this list he was just a draft pick by the Bucs that should have never been made. Thats like if the Pats picked Rocket Ismail back in the day at the top of the draft knowing he wasn’t coming here. Dunno about Leinart for the Cardinals… must have forgotten about Josh Rosen. @GreenCow would know better but I’d say Mike Williams, JP...
We all want the Pats to make the playoffs this year. A big step towards doing that will come from doing no worse than 2nd in the division. While beating the Bills and winning the division should be the overall goal, that is a big ask. So i think since we have some down time it be nice to do some break downs of teams we will be directly competing with for a playoff birth. It may be nice to do all 15 other AFC teams. But i doubt people would want that. Do we need to have a break down...
So why play 6 division games if they won’t matter as much? Also I’m ok with a tush push ban.
Nor bad for Mr. Irrelevant. Maybe Kobee Minor is next. ;)

What is the likelihood of a non-specialist (kicker, punter, returner, long snapper) drafted in the 5th round makes the 53 of the team that drafted him? in the 6th rounder? in the 7th rounder?
Seth Wicksham is writing a new book about QB prospects from High School to Pro's and it goes into detail how Caleb Williams didn't want to go to the Bears. I'm not surprised and I've brought this up before that more top prospects should find ways to avoid crap franchises. Long story short, his Dad knew Chicago was a place where QB's die, didn't have the coaching in place and the contracts aren't good for rookies. Caleb wanted to go to the Vikings, but knew the Bears weren't going to trade...
