The saving grace for the Eagles is that the rest of the NFC east is flawed. the Giants are - what the hell are the Giants? A passing team? A running team? A defensive team? Who knows? The Giants are a maddening team and might win the Super Bowl or finish 8-8.

The Cowboys are a Tony Romo mistake away from a loss in every game.

The Redskins are the class of the division and have tremendous skill players named...who are their skill players again?

The NFC East has turned into the AFC West. 9-7 might win the division.

The Eagles and it's not even close. I am surprised that their passing D has been as bad as it is. I know Asante has stone hands (SB 42), but Asomugha and Rogers-Cromartie were supposed to be the best CB duo since Mike Haynes and Lester Hayes.

The only reason I wouldn't say the Colts is that they weren't expected to do great without Manning. This is how they were supposed to play.

The Colts. Every other disappointment has the talent to recover. Painter/Methuselah just don't have the talent to turn things around in Indianapolis.

I think it is the Eagles. Their season is almost over and they gave huge contracts to serious underachievers in Vick and Asomugha. Other teams might be able to turn in around either this year or next, but the Eagles are going to be weighted down for years by those two contracts.

The answer is easy and it isn't close; and its not one of the choices.

Its the Colts, of course.:snob::eek:

I didn't include the Colts, FWIW, because it was clear that without Satan Manning, they were not going to be contenders for the SB.

Apparently us, because our defense is so bad, and Rodgers can throw 50 TDs with his eyes closed lmao. Who cares what shape anyone is in, football loves to shock the masses.

The Eagles and the Steelers. Both seem to be doing their share of flailing. The Falcons have imploded too if they were even in consideration.

To me, it's no doubt it's the Eagles and I'm happy for the NFL. I don't think many around the NFL, including fans, owners, media and even a lot of players, wanted Michael Vick to be the "image" of a Conference champion or maybe even an SB champion.

Did you miss last year where up until his December melt down mediots throughout the league were touting Vick as MVP vs Brady???

What the Eagles did was throw money at the big names (Nmamdi etc) and forget the little things.. They didn't want to pay Akers so they went with a rookie who missed two makeable kicks vs SF...They have a LB corps and an interior offensive line making the league minimum with no depth. They made their offensive line coach the DC and wonder why there are problems....

FWIW the last 3 Eagles QBs, Vicks, McNabb and Kolb are all 104 this season. It's about to get really ugly in Philly and if they go 5-11, not outside the realm of possibility, I see a Francona-like ending for Reid... after 13 years...

I've never understood the worship of Reid. He was MIA coaching McNabb's clock killing SB losing drive. He's been a significant party to some bad QB decisions. And look at the Red Sox like (just to clarify, this is NOT a compliment Boston MLB homers) fiasco the Eagles "Dream Team" has become.

But right to the first game of the season, the Colts F. O. and the Colts Fans, and even the Clots newspapers were confident that Manning would play.

Even the dweeb beat reporter for the Clots, was roasting Belichick and the Pats for wasting a 3rd round pick on a backup QB...:eek::eek:

I really wanted to pick the Jets but choose the Eagles. I guess I'm being a bit shallow in that in the building where I work, there is a arrogant Eagles fan.
