Only one of Welker's concussions in Denver were from one of these "kill shot" catches. One was soon after a catch but happened after Welker had already gone to the ground, and one happened after Welker had run around with the ball for about 15 seconds.
So those of you touting the three concussions in a year argument and then crapping on the other guy for pointing to Gronk or Amendola need to take a step back and look at your own argument.
Mods, feel free to ban me.
That was my point exactly. Like I said Brady really needs to stop "ruining" Gronk and Amendola.
And to the guy saying 3 concussions in one year is somehow Manning's fault....do you understand how concussions work? If you have one you're more vulnerable to getting more. Welker has been taking shots in this league a long time, he had concussions before he ever played with Manning. Lord knows how many others didn't get reported before the league put so much emphasis on concussions.
But of course NE fans have an eternal never ending boner for Manning. So of course when a 34-35 year old receiver who has been taking hard shots for a decade, who also has a history of concussions, gets his bell rung it's Manning's fault.
The difference between a receiver getting a concussion and not getting one is pure luck. We've all seen receivers take brutal hits and get right back up.
But because "Satan" Manning is involved you idiots of course act like Welker's concussions are the QB's fault. Some idiot up there said "I doubt many slot receivers or TE would want to play with Manning" lol. Yeah, that's why Welker left NE to play with him. That's why Stokely played with him. That's why Tamme played with him.
I mean, why would a receiver or TE want to play with a guy who makes them look great? A guy who enables them to put up the stats that gets them a fat contract lol? And gives them a shot at a SB ring?
Like said, I get that NE fans hate Manning and you're completely irrational in your hate, but let it go. Move on.
