It's easy, and only takes a few moments.true .at the sametime he feels he wasnt given a fair chance..and was there just in case hoyer was injured...iam surprised the pats cut walter after KOC. they couldve cut him early and have him compete elsewhere...in this economy everyone needs a job so i guess he was pissed he lost his chance to play here or to showcase something here in the preseason
That would crack the door for Feely....
WOW Word out of Gillette yesterday was they had seen enough in practice to be comfortable with him. Somebody is coming in and as a #3 because they have no knowledge of the playbook. Zo just said it couldn't be Huard because he's got some ligament damage and is toast. Hope it's not Feeley as that would be a waste of a draft pick or trading chip. Even if the chip is Smith and his $1.5M.
Sounds like Walter was pissed and in a way I can see his point. He had viable alternatives when he came here looking for a shot at redemption and unless something happened last night as a result of his not seeing any time (maybe being told he's #3 to the UDFA) why not cut him loose before KOC...
Weird.
Maybe he really likes Hoyer enough to use the #3 roster spot for space pending who gets cut at the position next week...
Zo just changed his mind and said if the kid is the #2 (and he thinks they may like him enough based on last nights performance) it could be Huard in strictly as the #3. Says anyone else needs 6+ weeks to become functional as a #2.
My question it is, why trade for him. Clearly he's the odd man out in Philly, with Vick and Kolb in place. Why use a pick or trade a TE that we could POSSIBLY keep, when on Saturday, we can have him for nothing. The risk is that if he's cut he can go somewhere else. However where else would he be better off than in NE. He's not getting a starting job anywhere, and HERE he back up a GREAT offense. He'd be NUTS to go any where else.
Trade Smith to another TE deprived team and pick UP a draft pick, rather than lose one.
