The underrated impact of Rodney Harrsion

I read that article, and quite honestly, what else is Brady supposed to say? Do you think he would throw anyone under the bus except himself, point fingers, and make everything that happens in the locker room privy for the media? Brady probably had enough on his hands keeping his finger on the pulse of his offense after losing McDaniels, coming back from a devastating knee injury, and trying to figure out who the defensive leaders would be in the absence of Bruschi, Seymour, and Vrabel. He was probably counting on someone like A. Thomas, but we all know how that turned out. Call me a homer, but I believe the Pats are gonna have some players stepping up more this year on D.

Oh, so you must have inside info.....

I'm thinking we need to trade up to Eric Berry now ...:cool::cool:

Thank you for the post.

?

So you accuse my post of "pure conjecture" yet you post this:

Brady probably had enough on his hands keeping his finger on the pulse of his offense after losing McDaniels, coming back from a devastating knee injury, and trying to figure out who the defensive leaders would be in the absence of Bruschi, Seymour, and Vrabel. He was probably counting on someone like A. Thomas

At least I backed my argument with an actual Brady quote.

Your post, aside from the fact that he did come back from a devastating injury, is full of conjecture..

Brady probably had enough on his hands...
He was probably counting on someone like A. Thomas...

Anywho, rock on with your own interpretations.:rocker:

He is one of the best patriot players of all time. Not only was he talented on the field, but he was a team leader in the locker room. He is a first ballot HOF player, like they say with porn, you know it when you see it!!!!

That being said, I believe John Lynch ( media loves him) will get in before him and I believe Harrision is a much better player. Look at the stats, they don't lie. I dont care if he only made two pro bowls (popularity contest) I wouldnt take anyone in the last 15 years over him when he was in his prime (Troy P is close)!!!

In 15 seasons, Harrison averaged 6.5 tackles per game along with his 34 interceptions, 15 forced fumbles and 30.5 sacks.

Lynch, in 16 seasons, averaged 4.7 tackles per game and recorded 26 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and 13 sacks.

So Rodney is a first ballot hall famer but Lynch will get in before him. Lynch retired first so maybe that is what you mean. But if Rodney is a first Ballot Hall Famer than he will get in as quick as possible so you cant do it sooner.

Notice the word "probably" which concludes speculation and opinion. Yours is a total ASSumption based on a very subjective quote from Brady, but go ahead and keep rockin' your secret source.

Conjecture | Define Conjecture at Dictionary.com

Do you have evidence of proof that:

"Brady probably had enough on his hands keeping his finger on the pulse of his offense after losing McDaniels, coming back from a devastating knee injury, and trying to figure out who the defensive leaders would be in the absence of Bruschi, Seymour, and Vrabel. He was probably counting on someone like A. Thomas".

Yes, yours is an opinion, but without evidence of proof, it's pure conjecture.

So..............you criticizing my posts as "pure conjecture" is asinine when you're doing it yourself. Are you following?

Commercial Break - Question for Patriots Fans..

Too many times, the media always focuses on the big names of any franchise, and there are many players that have played that were Pretty Damn Good in their own right.. So the question is:

Who is a former Patriots player that you want fans of other teams to know about?

I plan to do a show called "The Hall of Very Good" which will include a team by team pick of "Who You Should Know About"

Without taking the side of the person with whom you have been having so fascinating an ongoing debate in this thread , I think there's probably more to what Brady said than you are acknowledging. He tends to be very circumspect, so when he makes a statement such as he made in the referenced link, I think we have to assume there's something more to it than "aw shucks" humility.

The problem, of course, is that we can only speculate about what happens in the locker room, since what really goes on in the locker room is closed even to good beat reporters like Reiss.

But, it was more than reasonable to wonder about leadership when the team lost Rodney, Richard, Brewski and Vrabes at virtually the same time. While those guys were the face of the Pats "Dynasty," all we fans (and most reporters, too) can do is to look at what happens on the field, listen to what players will say on the record and then, well, just plain guess, what, if any, impact a changed locker room might be having.

Listening to things Adalius said and watching the Pats not show up for the Wild Card game, I think it's fair to say that stuff like that didn't happen when those four guys were around. Beyond that, we're just guessing.

But, when a Tom Brady comes out afterwards and says the Leadership wasn't what it should have been, I also think it's fair to connect a few dots and wonder out loud whether there weren't leadership issues as the season wore on last year.
