The front office had put up with enough histrionics from Rob Ryan. The breaking point was when the team found out that he had a tattoo of Mrs. Jerry Jones in a Eli Manning jersey inked on his arm.

Yep, Rob Ryan and not Jason Garrett is the problem in Dallas. Jerry Jones lost his marbles years ago.

I wish they'd move the Cowboys into the AFCE, in a trade for the Dolphins. Jerry Jones, Woody Johnson and the corpse of Ralph Wilson would mean that the Patriots should dominate the division for another 20-30 years.

It wouldn't shock me if Buffalo hires him to put some life into that defense, though they seem better suited to a 4-3.

Meh I doubt he'd come back here. There was a reason Belichick never promoted him past LB coach.

No kidding. When the Cowboys were in Foxboro, he walked out and got some flak from the crowd, but then started jawing back - making a production of it. Did the same thing after half time. Dude, you're a coordinator. Always a big show.

"I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan told ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."

Proof that all Ryans think alike (and cant help but tell everyone)... :p

Seems to me that Jerry Jones has the "Al Davis Replacement" gig all sewn up. He's getting that shrunken, waxy-looking pallor that Al had, and he's starting to do that megalomaniac owner thing that killed Oakland.

    You go, Jerry! :D

Personally I wonder if, while firing somebody, Jerry Jones says things like "You have disappointed me for the last time" and "Now you will learn the true price of failure."

People rag on Jerry Jones but his war against the NFL to get the right to individually market your own team in your own market was one of the most important steps in making the NFL the success it is today.

True enough, and I do respect him. Having said that, it just seems that the past few years he's been getting more weird with each passing season.

But, it's his team, so bless his heart.

Jerry Jones the businessman should be separated from Jerry Jones the Cowboys GM. As a businessman he's a shrewd operator, as the Cowboys GM he's retarded.

Jimmie Johnson was right when he first said it; Jones should leave football decisions to football people.
