I had forgotten about patchick's rule. I doesn't look like we'll be able to do the polls because there would be too many threads (we're allowed to have two threads dedicated to this game). Looks like someone's going to be appointed commish.

Elaborate on this fullproof draft method?

It would be a 4 round mock that gives each person plenty of time to think about their pick, and every person knows exactly what the deadline for submitting that pick is.
In the first round you have 4 picks per day, with each pick having a four hour waiting period between them. It would look like this:

You could have one thread for discussions, and one thread where trades are posted.

When Someone makes their pick they would post it on this thread, like this:
With the #1 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft the Raiders Select_______________ (with an optional picture of that player attached)

Then one of the mods gives that player to the Raiders on the list, and takes them off the clock. The next slot becomes highlighted, and says "On the clock" next to the pick deadline.

I think that is a great idea and if we have a Commish and you are no going to be there for you pick give the Commish a list of the players you want in Order and they give you the highest one they can

Did you like April 8th as the starting date? That was just an example, but if we started the mock then, we could get the full four rounds in before the actual draft, lol!

We should start this thing no later than Saturday/Sunday.

Here's what I'm thinking:

1)The deadline for signing up as a GM should be 12Noon Friday April 6th.

2)Any team still classified as "OPEN" after the 12Noon deadline will have their drafting rights assigned to an already active GM.
3)These rights will be assigned on a first dibs basis.
4)This will be in addition to handling the drafting responsibilities of you original team.

5)There will be a second thread just focused on discussion.

6)There should be an additional thread where all trades are posted/discussed. Trades could be posted in the main Mock thread, and discussed in the draft discussion thread, if we're limited in the amount od threads devoted.

7)You can PM me a list of players you want (in the order you want them). If you arent going to be available when your picks come up, I'll make the selection for you. Obviously it would be optimal if you can make those selections yourself.

8)No discussion is permitted in the actual Mock thread.
