Short version from Pro F W. He sucks!:singing:

Will falsh big-time ability once in a while.Despite finishing strong his senior year he was an underachiever.

Re: will we actually use 127?

A nice DT who can compete for the job as top reserve behind Wilfork.

Re: Pats Take Kareem Brown With Pick 127

I didn't realize that Mike Wright and Jarvis Green weren't up to the job of spelling Seymour and Warren. Also, the Pats normally only carry 6-D-linemen into a game. Not 7. Brown is going to take Marquis Hill's spot on the inactive bench more likely than not.

Like I said Jarvis Green was injured throughout that game and hardly played. We didn't have anybody to come in. The same guys were out there for every single play and they were struggling. Mike Wright is an UDRFA who played because Marquise Hill could never realize his potential. Kareem Brown is an upgrade, IMO.

Re: Pats Take Kareem Brown With Pick 127

The draft has turned out well so far except for needed help at LB and a personnel desire to pick up another RB.....Darius Walker maybe at this point?[/QUOTE]

Don't forget there is always June 1st cuts. There is also a player who may not be as broken as he appears available named Al Wilson.

I'm pretty sure our front office and coaches have got a idea what is wrong with this team. Maybe they feel great with the LB's we have in place? If not then I am sure they have a plan in progress to add depth or another starter.

He might be a NT. In any case, he will compete with Smith and Hill for two roster spots. He has a lot of talent. It isn't easy to find 34 DL's. Also Wright is an RFA next year. This is a solid value pick in the late fourth.

so now we have 3 Miami DT. He seems to small to play 3-4 DT. May turn out to be another Klecko (yea I said it)

A Klecko 6 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier...

At the very least, he's another big athletic body who will be competing with LeKevin Smith and Hill and Santonio Thomas for the last active gameday spot and reserve spot. I think he's a DE, but in a few years as puts on weight and improves his technique I could see him becoming a nice NT.

A lot of potential, which is always nice to see in day 2 picks...

I think he can turn into another Jarvis Green. Even though he is a DT he a little small for that position and his specialty is pass rushing.

Re: Pats Take Kareem Brown With Pick 127

Excellent way to look at it. This guy looks like a classic 3-4 DE prospect, though he's a bit of a risk (but the Patriots have Jarvis and Mike Wright anyways).

Yep.

Or if he makes the active roster at all, maybe he can start by taking some 4-3 and sub-package reps at DT to keep the other guys fresher.

pretty sure that we just drafted Wilfork's replacement from Miami

i don't love the pick. but i definitely like the pick

I think he his more of an end in the 3-4. The press says he is inconsistent but in the games I saw he really moves well for a big man and can get to the QB. With the beating DL take you can never have too much depth.

Brown has the second most sacks of any Miami DT.

Who is first? Is it Wilfork?

Yea, and you know some of the players who have been DT's there? I think some people are sleeping on him a little to much. Yes he underachieved for part of his career, but during his senior year he was dominant during a number of games.

I like it alot...

Is Mike Wright still on the team?.. Green/Wright/Brown..now thats some **SWEAR WORD*** depth right there.

Umm...NO!!! You must be out of your mind! First of all, Wilfork isn't going to be a free agent until 2010, that is if the Pats don't resign him before that. Second, this guy will NEVER be able to fill Wilfork's shoes. He's not even projected as a NT anyway. Please, if you don't have anything smart to say, just don't say it at all.

Somewhere the reporting said Miami played some 3-4, and he slid over to end at those times.

It sounds as if this guy is the replacement for Wright, Green, or (horror!) Warren, whichever of them winds up leaving.

As for Wilfork's backup -- that's either a specialist like LeKevin Smith, or else it's by committee of the DEs.

re-read what I posted

I think that this is the guy that replaced Wilfork at Miami

I am in no way projecting him as replacing Wilfork at NE

that said--go f yourself

This was bugging me.. they have had so many good lineman. I doubt it was
Wilfork because he was more of a plugger in the middle.

Candidates
Russell Maryland
Warren Sapp
Jerome Brown
Don Latimer
Vinnie Holiday
Vince Wilfork

Does anyone have the answer?
