They didn't have to bash Lackey. In the eyes of a lot of the public, Lackey never recovered from his slow start, so there wasn't really any need to do anything there. As for Lester, they tried to make it seem as if he was being greedy, but it didn't work because everyone knew that first offer from Lucchino was the kind of ******** lowball offer that would piss off the person getting it.
