Notable NFL Roster Cuts

Great research; the only ones on this list whom I would seriously consider re-signing are:
CB Sterling Moore
DT Chris Jones
LB Akeem Ayers

No OL, RB or WR help among the lot of them.
The really need to sack Roberts and pick up Akeem.

Two totally different players and two totally different positions, no? If you cut Roberts, who plays ILB (aside from the obvious HT)? Not much depth there to be adding yet another pass rushing specialist/OLB, particularly when we're already flush with them, including Rufus Johnson on the PS.

Edit: perhaps I missed your sarcasm. Apologies, if so.

Has Jordan Richards been sucking that badly? I've only been able to watch 1/3 games during the preseason.
Not advocating that they cut bait yet but he has been out of position on run plays and routinely chasing 3rd stringers unfortunately. Big disappointment so far.

And originally started with the Pats. Pats cut him and Bears picked him up.
I wonder why they signed him to begin with, maybe they were considering letting Adam go a year early?

Nope I was being genuine.

Understand that they play different positions.

At RILB and LILB you have High, Collins , Freeney and Shea.

They play a 4/5-2-5/4 anyway and Ayers is good vs the run.

@Off The Grid . Do you now what's happening with mayoclinic?

I'm afraid that I don't. He'nd I had a Falling Out and aren't in touch.

But I agree with you and Kontra.

Oh Dear. Thanks anyway.

He was a very good poster. Much like you, I hope that he returns at some point.

And you Supa. Unfortunately I had a bit of a falling out with him just before he left too, over Byron Jones.

I KNEW it! It was a fight over a girl.

For two draftniks, having a disagreement over an NFL* prospect is, essentially, the same thing.

Hmmm, interesting.

At least your disagreement makes a bit of sense, as correct as you've been thus far regarding Byron Jones.

@Off The Grid, on the other hand? That one seems a bit more complicated. He's fairly laid back and straight forward.

What could they have possibly disagreed about? Storylines of Star Wars? How to properly skin a buffalo? Who can make the best homemade gunpowder? Whether or not there's a supreme leader overseeing the people of Earth? The proper nomenclature used to describe the place kicker? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

Heh. Sorry to be so slow getting back to you, Brother Fly. It's been a viciously busy week or so at Work...

It was right here in the Forum, so I reckon there's no Harm in recapitulating it, and it'll be good for The Soul to air it out, here where it happened, as Brother Mayo and I go way back:

01 ~ 2 Years ago, in the wake of Vince Wilfork's ACL Injury, some Spastic Colon prefaced an OffSeason Game Plan Statement with the excremental words "assuming they cut Wilfork..."

02 ~ I took Umbrage, and called the lad on his offensive and idiotic Assumption. Civilly. I noted that cutting Wilfork was something most'f us considered a very real Possibility... "But speculating about what might happen and "assuming they cut Wilfork" are 2 entirely different things."

03 ~ Some time later, he read a Blurb somewhere and foolishly ~ and incorrectly ~ jumped to the conclusion that Wilfork was indeed going to be cut imminently. He never was, of course, that OffSeason.

04 ~ He then proceeded to launch on a multiple post Tirade, heavily suffused with Insults, most'f'm directed at me. Mind you: there was a time when I would've Gone To The Mattresses in response to such a Provocation, but such explosive Diarrhea has for a long time only amused me.

05 ~ Kenny B was kind enough to share his observations of my Personality with me ~ and the rest of the World ~ and observed that I am, and I quote: "an Idiot, a Buffoon, a Narcissist, a Sanctimonious Prick, a Douche Bag, Disabled with Asperger's Syndrome, and a deluded, fat Loser, typing in his Pajamas." *

06 ~ I defended myself, of course, and in light of such slanderous Defamation, I don't believe that anyone could blame me for doing so. I firmly stated to Kenny B that he had misjudged me egregiously, and I informed him, in no uncertain terms, mind you, that in fact I never wear Pajamas.

Haw.

07 ~ Seriously, though: Considering that I could've probably gotten'm Banned for the Sewage that he spewed at me, if I bothered to report'm, I should've gotten a Medal for my bemused Restraint.

Did I point and laugh at'm?? Hell, Yeah. He was throwing a legendary Tantrum, based entirely on his idiotic misunderstanding of simple, basic English, and flooding this Site with Insults!!

08 ~ So imagine my Disgust and Rage when Mayo and two other Clowns actually decided not to congratulate me or thank me for not escalating things after Kenny B's hysterical ~ and hysterical :D~ attack on me, but actually lectured me, as if I wasn't historically restrained but actually part of the Problem!!!

09 ~ It's one thing to hear that Garbage from those other two Clowns...but quite another to be publicly attacked by Mayo, my erstwhile Partner in All Thing Draft Related. We've all got a bit of Arrogance about us, I believe, and Mayo certainly has many admirable Qualities...But it wasn't the first time that I felt like he was posing as King Of The Forum and Arbiter Of All Things. I am one arrogant Son of a ***** and ~ or so I hear ~ a bit'f a Sanctimonious Prick :D ~ but I've never presumed to set myself up as The Arbiter of Morality.

10 ~ It's not that if felt like a Betrayal. It's that it was a Betrayal. Nor was it the first time that Mayo had laid some bizarre behavior on me: Not even close. Anyway: Mayo laid all the Arrogance in his Soul on me, and did so in a Public Forum, seeking to belittle and humiliate me. Thaaat's...not something that I'm inclined to suffer silently. So I call'd'm on it. Publicly. And then he squealed. Like a Stuck Pig.

As The Great American Poet, James HetField, reminds us: People are like Batteries. There's a Positive Charge...And there's a Negative Charge. I take a back seat to no man in terms of being beset with countless obnoxious and aberrant Behavioral Traits. Mayo and I had Differences, and I ultimately reached the point where I'd had enough...But the World is far better with him in it.

And I, for one, would be delighted if he returns.

* In all Fairness to Kenny B: The AssBurgers and the Pajamas were the only parts he got wrong. :p
