Asked if the Patriots have ruled out Michael Vick, coach Bill Belichick answered that he doesn't know that "it's ruled in or ruled out."
Pressed further on the team's possible interest in Vick, Belichick replied: "You know, I think we would consider ... Well, we’re coaching the players we have on the field right now. Anybody who isn't here ... is there a potential they could be here? Yeah, there probably is." Now he's just toying with us.

Here is what he actually said:
reporter question: "Has this organization ruled out the signing of Mike Vick?"
BB answer: "Have we ruled it out? Ummmmm....... I don't know that it is ruled in or ruled out.
reporter mumbles a response saying something like "...mumble mumble you're npt going to sign him."
BB: "well, I'm just answering your question and I'm saying I don't think it's ever been put that way so I couldn't really answer that.
reporter: mumble mumble
BB: "You know, I think we have ... we would consider ... No, we're not ... I mean, we're coaching the players we have on the field right now. So that's who's here, so anybody who isn't here, is there a potential they could be here? You know? Yeah, but there probably is, but right now they're not. Right now we're coaching the 80 players that are here, so until we get somebody else, we're coaching them. If we get somebody else in here, which I 'm sure at some point we will, when we'll coach them instead of the players that are here. Who-all that's going to be ...you know. I mean right now we're it's the 80 players who are here. That's all I can tell you."
reporter: "Sounds like you're not ruling that out?"
BB: "Karen, I'm coaching the players that here that are on the team That's what I'm doing. I'm not coaching anyone else. So, I'm sure at some point somebody else will be here. I don't know who that will be. I can't tell you that. If I knew they'd already be here."
