Fair play to Anderson for squeezing that money out of someone. He really impressed as a situational rusher and, when asked, he stepped up big when asked.

Seems silly throwing that kind of money around for a guy who has never really done it on a consistent basis. Anderson had an impressive rookie year but when he was asked by the Bears to do more he never really flourished with the bigger responsibility. At Houston he wasn't outstanding.

Shame as he's now entering the prime time of hiss career. However, a lot of his sacks were from good motor. I lost count of how mnay coverage sacks we got last season. For all the bashing the secondary gets, our pass rush disappeared for large phases of our games and it was only 4 sacks better than 2010. Anderson has a good motor but I don't see an immense amount of pass rush moves in his arsenal. Relies on speed and a good motor.

I don't think the;s worth hat money at all, but fair play for getting it!

Jets and fins could flip flop but the point is none of those teams are going to do jack to threaten the Pats. Bills are a crap run orginization and it does not matter who the say...I could care less if they sign Anderson or pay a guy 100 million dollars who hardly plays...ohhhh, so scared.

I don't think you are giving the Bills enough credit. Not to mention, your really exaggerating the injury issues for Mario Williams. You also seem to forget that the Pats LOST to the Bills last year with a worse defense. Don't overlook them.

They can't be TOO poorly run if they just had one of the best FA periods in the league, signed the biggest impact FA available, re-signed their star WR and have 9 picks in the upcoming draft.

so you're saying only the bills can upgrade in the offseason and not the pats? So it comparison it will be the new 2012 bills vs the 2011 pats next season? Do you think Lloy, (who has the best hands in the NFl) will drop a wide open game winning pass against the bills?

I will overlook them because just like every year they may win a few good games and look legit, but then like every year they will fade away and be done.

They had to sign him for 100 million dollars because if he left, everyone would know what a sh^t hole bufflao is and NO ONE would want to go there. They had to choice but to sign him.

Alot of Mark Anderson sacks this year was COVERAGE Sacks. Yes any DL or LB can get those, Anderson did NOT get alot of sacks on individual moves Like Andre Carter last year. Anderson = TBC II he's going to flame out. Bills rolled the dice on Mario Williams staying healthy and Mark Anderson getting stops against the RUN. Mario Williams has the potential to be GREAT but Anderson is Average at best...glad BB made him walk. IF Jermain Cunningham gives us a performance like Anderson last year this upcoming season he would validate his draft position. One dimensional pass rushers area dime a dozen.

sorry but we don't need anderson to stop the run we have kelsay AND dwan edwards for that.....same thing the jets are doing with maybin...in on obvious passing downs only..

Good deal for Mark. Definitely glad we didn't try to match that though. We should be getting some pretty decent compensation picks right? Mark gets $7M a year deal and BJGE gets $5M a year. Hoyer may get a decent deal somewhere. Or am I not understanding the rules right.

Yeah should be interesting to see what our Comp picks are this year. Not 100% sure on how all of that works but i guess we'll see.

BTW, I suggest you do a bit of homework on Brandon Lloyd. He has drops. He's not some all great savior that you are attempting to make him out to be.

Looking at those figures, I am glad the Patriots never strayed from the value they placed on Anderson before he went out to test the free agency waters.

A lot of dough for a part-time pass rush specialist, although he was highly efficacious doing it for the Patriots in 2011.

7m bucks per year. Cya Anderson! I'm glad he got his payday but definitely would not pay that much for him. So let's get Carter healthy and resign him. Im sure he feels he has something to prove after just missing the playoffs and a chance to contribute to a Superbowl run.

As for the next Pats pass rusher. We look through FA or the draft.
