This is something that will have to be addressed in the CBA. Players who sign contracts and then force their way onto a preferred team has to be dealt with. NE ends up getting him on the cheap for NO PICKS!!!! Maybe there was tampering, but there's no way to ever know.

Should be some sort of exemption when a team cuts a guy for quitting that they still control rights. So if NE wanted to sign him, they'd have to give OAK picks to release the rights. And if the offer isn't good enough, you can reject the trade and let the dude rot.

The players are now bending over the owners. Kind of refreshing to see, but this is a total ****ing ****show.

I am so unbelievably pissed about this. I feel like we're cheated out of AB's services because he wanted to end up with the Patriots. The Steelers didn't do anything wrong here, but we're out AB and the Pats benefit as usual.

You're right, this is a credibility issue for the league, Blount, Harrison, Brown....they're becoming like the damn NBA where the talent only wants to play in 4 cities
