straw man, no one is putting 100% of the blame on Brady.
I believe DaBruinz was pointing out receivers have to catch the ball and run correct routes with situational awareness. Blockers have to make sure the QB isn't drilled 6 or more times a game.
Brady's bad throw resulting in an INT cost them nothing. He is not a runner, so if the receivers are blanketed what should he do? Most of those sacks were coverage sacks, not pressure sacks. The man could be absolute zero solid ice in the pocket and still not have a much better performance. Chokers are defined by poor decisions when they have choices, not by forgettable play when there are no real choices.
Any QB in the game short of Vick, who would likely see plenty of open receivers because he is not a passer, would have had issues the way that game panned out because the only option was running the ball and Brady is not a running QB. The same is true of the performance in SB 42 against the Giants.
In the end, Brady threw for almost 300 yard with an 89 rating and a single pick. In what world is that an awful game for a QB? Not perfect, but certainly not awful. He left plays on the field just as many others did. As the leader of the offense, he will obviously take responsibility for it not performing, but he did not put up that terrible a game against a good defense.
