Here is a list of WR that may be available for the right price. This is pure speculation, but I believe we need to do something for Brady in the WR department next season.

Anquan Boldin – AZ has so many holes to fill that sometimes you must give up a hot position so that the team can be balanced. If AZ gave up Boldin they would still have a solid WR group and could upgrade their OL or DL. I dunno, maybe throw Jarvis green into a package and Boldin may come pretty easy.

Joe Horn – The Saints have proven that they no longer need Horn. The have a load of young WR talent and a QB who knows how to use them. Horn is older and has some injury questions this year, but I feel he has some great stuff left. He would be an awesome possession WR for Brady.

Donald Driver – With the Favre era coming to an end the whole team needs a revamp. They have had some success as of late, but this team is going nowhere. There are to many holes to fill and Jennings has emerged as a solid threat. If Favre quits, Rogers will take time to develop so why not trade Driver so the team can get younger and grow together?

Randy Moss – You know this argument is coming.

    Jerry Porter – See above.

Rod Smith – Smith is old, but still solid. Walker makes him obsolete and so does Cutler. He has 1-2 good seasons left and can make up for his speed with his wisdom. He is very different than Troy Brown in that he still has gas left, well at least a year.

Wes Welker – Not a #1 guy right now, but what a great KR and WR combo. He is better than Dante Hall in that he is a valid WR option. He is a RFA. If Miami wants him back let’s make them break the bank for him. We can afford it.

Boldin is interesting in that he's only 26. Hate to give up Jarvis though.

Horn and Smith seem like short term fixes.

I love Jarvis too, but BB has proven he has a nack for finding DLmen.

Yes Horn and Smith would be short term, but I am hoping it would buy enough time to get CJ ready to take over the #1. I think he is still 2 years out.

As much as all of this seems palatible, I don't see the Pats doing any of this unless they revert to fantasy football.

Judging by how BB drafts, I would be extremely surprised if he traded a DL for a WR. You can't teach size and speed and I just think he values big and fast DL's over big and fast WR's.

No shot the Pats could get Boldin unless you are talking 3 first round picks or some insane deal like that. The Cardinals are poised to hire Martz according to reports and there is no way he deals Boldin.

Moss is the only impact WR available by trade.

The perfect Patriots receiver is there waiting to be plucked by the Pats. His name is Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech, and all it would take is trading up with our 2 number one picks.

Johnson is going to go top 10, most likely top 5. Two low #1s aren't getting us there. Sorry.

I would love to have just about any of those guys in a NE uniform, but I don't see it happening.

    1) Boldin is not going anywhere. He is a force and even the Bidwills aren't stupid enough to let him go for Jarvis Green and a pick. His teammate Bryant Johnson might be a possibility.

    2) With the wealth of WRs that NO has developed this year trading for Horn certainly is feasible. I just don't know if he has enough left for there to be enough value

    3) Don't count on this being the end of the Favre era. He's having a lot of fun out there, you know.

    4) No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.No Porter.

    5) Smith isn't going anywhere. He is an icon in Denver and I would bet a lot of money that is the only uniform that he ever dons.

    6) Now we're talking. I love Wes Welker. Even though he is currently employed by those bastiches down in Miami, I am president and founder of his fan club. I would honestly trade a #2 for Welker and be happy as a pig in sh!t. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that Miami aint gonna trade him here.

Moss is the only one that I think could be had for a reasonable price and still offer decent value. His contract is pretty outrageous though.

I could'nt agree more. I have been saying for a few years now how much talent the Card's actually have on their team. I thought they were going to be number one or two in their division since they aquired James, but I guess they still need a run blocking OL.

The idea of landing those WR's is ridiculous - except either of the Raiders, neither of which we may want. Welker is too valuable to Miami for them to deal him - especially in the division - for anything close to what we'd be willing to give.

Boldin is a HUGE joke. Get real. I know it's fun to speculate - and I know that that is all we're doing here - but aren't we supposed to be better than fan-boy conjecture as over-the-top as dealing a package around Jarvis Green for Boldin????

How about Jarvis for Marvin Harrison and Joseph Addai? I feel that would be a fair trade.

You don't think that Marquise Hill would get it done? I would really hate to lose Jarvis.

Trading an extra #1 draft pick as part of a deal for a proven WR makes more sense than using that pick on another rookie WR who likely won't be productive until after his rookie season.

We've got the future in Jackson - we need a "now" WR going into next season. So depending on who is available in free agency and who is available via trade, we're going to do SOMETHING to upgrade this WR corps.

BB put the best offer on the table for Derrick Mason two years ago - and that was when we had Branch and Givens signed - so there's no question he's an interested buyer... it just takes two to tango.

Boldin isn't available period. Smith going over the hill is one of the reasons that Shanahan threw in the towel and started developing a rookie QB. Horn would be good but that makes TROY BROWN LOOK YOUNG.

Moss and Porter don't answer many questions that Gabriel isn't answering.

Only Driver and Welker appeal to me but why would Miami let Welker go, and what is there to help break in a young QB in Green Bay other than Driver? the other guy is merely a complementary rookie WR.

I'll take the advice of the AZ folks on Boldin - but exactly what questions has Gabriel answered?

I don't want them on the team but do we really think Moss and Porter would only be as productive as Gabriel?

Gabriel's provided no answers and for whatever the reason, obviously hasn't contributed or provided any answers to anything at this stage.

When they signed him for a 5th round draft choice I figured there had to be a reason why - I still don't exactly know what that reason was, but now, more than ever, it's clear there was a reason.

Gabriel isn't catching long passes and isn't catching short move the chains passes either. Neither Porter nor Moss are possesion receivers. Its questionable whether Porter is a team player nor a reliable deep receiver.

Moss is a lazy SOB who will only run on plays designated for him, ruining the possibilities for all the other working WRs.

Neither answers any questions, just like Gabriel is NOT answering any questions, is what I said.

Besides Boldin, nobody on the list warrants two #1's. Trading up into the top 10 shouldn't be too difficult if we have 2 top 25 picks. I'm sure a team like Green Bay would love 2 top 25 picks to rebuild over a top 10 pick. Chad Jackson is no Calvin Johnson. Everybody who knows about Johnson claims they would have to dig very deep to find a fault in Johnson, his character, his work ethic, are way above the usual athlete. Plus, add great hands, a 4.35 40, and a ridiculous vertical jump, this guy will be a star for whoever opicks him, and immediatly IMO.

Is it me or most of you guys do not know what a RFA is when it comes to Welker. I never said that we could deal for Welker. I said he is a RFA, and that we should pursue him.

Boldin is not a huge joke at all. I believe the right prices could bring a guy like him in. A package like Green, a #1, and a conditional could be reasonable. Take your rude fan-boy comment and and find another tree to pee on.
