He's stunk in his last 3 seasons at 3 different teams, not just 1 team.

No, I certainly agree he'd be coming into a better situation. But for those non-conspiracy theorists among us, I'm forced to assume that there are good football reasons that Culpepper is unemployed in a league in which Kyle Orton and JT O'Sullivan have starting jobs.
I'm just not convinced that a guy no one wanted to sign all summer is somehow going to guarantee us a SB championship, as you state rather matter-of-factly in your original post.

the same reason basically nobody would touch Moss because of seeing him play in Oakland. You got to see Culpepper fail in Miami and Oakland, who would want to sign him?
please will you guys get off Chad Jackson, everyone was pretty shocked when he was cut and alot of people wanted big things out of him. I still think he is going to sign somewhere else and be good, and we will regret letting him go. If it doesnt happen then i will glady admit i was a complete fool and totally missed on Jackson, but geez can we at least see him play a couple of seasons in the NFL first?
Hey, don't apologize for your avatar. The genius Bill Belichick thought more of Chad Jackson than Marcus McNeill, Greg Jennings, Devin Hester, Maurice Jones-Drew, Tarvaris Jackson, Jerious Norwood, LenDale White, Marques Colston, Mark Anderson, and Antoine Bethea. He should apologize.
No one ever really doubted Moss' talent to still be an effective player in this league, and his situation was never comparable to Culpepper's present one. I mean, the guy was forced to retire by e-mail last week because he was so frustrated no one would sign him. Unless you truly believe he's been blacklisted or something stupid like that, I have to say I trust football people who make that judgment.
That's not to say he's not a better option that Simms or Ratay or any of the other garbage, but given that he doesn't know the system, I'm not sure he's a safer bet to get wins right now than Matt Cassel.
not true there was tons of people speculating that Moss was washed up, not the player he once was. Even Art Shell the former coach of the Raiders said Moss was on his last legs. His production and total lack of effort in Oakland fooled people, but people still thought it. The Pats knew Moss wasnt washed up, they knew it was the situation he was in.
I just have no faith in Cassel at all, hes an undrafted free agent type player who is not the starting QB of the best team in the league. I do not think from seeing him play that he has what it take to win us a championship.

Moss was never in any danger of not finding work. If the Patriots hadn't taken a chance on him, someone else would have. I found Culpepper's situation to be very different, any team could have had him this summer, and none did. That speaks for itself.
Hey now, let's not get carried away.
Matt Cassel = no playoffs.
Kevin OConnell = playoffs but no SB.
Daunte Culpepper = SB Championship.
I'm not sure Cassel is an upgrade over Jackson, so I included him.

Briz - Please stop smoking whatever it is you are smoking.
Its much more likely that KO'C would = the Pats getting the 1st overall pick than it would them making the play-offs. He DOES NOT have a grasp on this offense. Belichick has said as much.
Culpepper is even less likely to lead this team to the Play-offs than K'OC. Why? Because he's not smart and he still tries to use his legs to win games when he's not nearly as quick as he used to be.
You are just going to have to admit that you have no idea what you are talking about and that Belichick makes you look like a single celled organism when it comes to football smart. Hell, I make you look like a single celled organism when it comes to football and Belichick is a million times smarter than I am when it comes to football.
