NFL: The New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets had the best offseasons in 2010 - ESPN
Clayton's not the most beloved scribe among Pats Fans types, but he gives kudos here. Ranks Pats 1, Dolphins 2 and Jets 3. He starts off by saying "Re-signings aren't sexy to fans, but the Patriots faced a difficult challenge before free agency began." Nice to see them get credit for Vince and Bodden, but also good to see the names of top draftees and free agents in one story.
AFC East is going to be fun this year. Reminds me of the old SI cover with the big photo of a snarling John Hannah and the headline "The Orneriest Division in the NFL." (Probably the only time "orneriest" made the cover of SI.)
Clayton ranks Lions 4 and Seahawks 5, which could be hard to argue with. Maybe Ravens would be 6th?
