Anyone nervous about the Giants next week?

The trend for teams after the bye has been disaster this year. I am not nervous yet. I will chock this up to the trend that is happening all over the NFL this season. So I won't panic yet.

I think if the Pats play like this vs. the Giants, then I will panic.

A trend that really has nothing to do with the pats or the other teams that lost. Just the way it went. Pats have nothing in common with the other teams that lost other than playing like ****.

I am usually positive. But Pitt is the better team. Look at how well their D played with no LB's..imagine if they were healthy?

We have one the worst defense's in the leage and your not worried?

Pass D and Tackling have to step up and the pass protection as well. The Giants have a good passing attack and an even better pass rush. JPP, Tuck, and Umenyiora will have a field day if the offense doesn't show up.

stop making excuses. They are so sharp after the bye and weren't today at all. This games shows that the pats are NOT the class of the AFC

Who is?

The only other options are the Steelers, Ravens (LOL), and the Bills....I guess you have to go with Pitt at this point.

If they're playing this brand of football in late November, I'll be concerned...this team was flat today....I don't like these big splash roster cuts before a game on the road...never have...this team looked like they were waiting for somebody else to make a play all day...nose to the grind stone this week

How do you know it wasn't a bye hangover. Even Mike Tomlin told Phil Simms that he wanted to take advantage of the Pats coming off the bye because there has a been a trend of sloppy play and tackling on defense. So if Tomlin thought the Pats were going to struggle on defense before the game because of the bye, how can you say it has nothing to do with it?

After today's game, there isn't a game left all season that I'm not worried about.

I'll be shocked if Eli throws for less than 350 yards next week.

Because this D sucked before the bye and the O had problems against Dallas and the jets...they weren't as bad as tonight

you guys have to understand the new rules. in the past there was no 5 day mandatory break that teams had to give players during the bye. now under the new CBA it's required. there's a reason why teams are like 4-10 after the bye week this year.

am i upset? yes, the team lacked focus. gronkowski was too busy spending time with a porn star during the bye week instead of focusing on the game. who knows what some of the other players were doing.

the team will rebound. it may have to play the AFCCG in the pittsburgh, but everyone knew coming into this game the patriots will probably lose 1 of the next 3 games.

belichick will kick their rear ends in practice this week. the giants will come in over confident after beating the lowly dolphins.

The problems on D run much deeper than that. They will win more games this year, mostly because Brady will be able to bail them out.

However, until the talent deficiency on D is addressed as it relates to the draft, SBs are probably not in the cards. Way too many 2nd-4th round whiffs in the last 5 years. At some point that shows up.

The Patriots' secondary is genuinely bad, and the Giants can throw the ball, so yeah, I'm worried. I don't think they'll be nearly as bad as they were today though.

I'm nervous FOR the Giants next week. We were flatter than a pancake this week and Pittsburgh played and called a fantastic game. Still, a one score game. We won't lose two in a row, especially with the game in Foxboro.

It will be interesting to see if Solder starts over Vollmer next week.

The defense played fairly well the last two weeks before the bye. It didn't suck. It was average.

belichick will kick their rear ends in practice this week. the giants will come in over confident after beating the lowly dolphins. hopefully the team will take advantage.

i've said it before - the team needs to learn to be humble and nothing humbles you like a loss. the young kids come in thinking brady will save the day as always and have no concept of what it's like to lose many games. the team has lost a total of 5 games in the past 2 seasons. the packers lost 6 games before going onto win the super bowl last year.

Gronk was one of the few who showed up today. If there's one person I wouldn't put the loss on it's him.

Agreed.....i am worried too. Next week should be the real make or break for our team and see how the rest of the season stacks up.

I'm going to HATE seeing little manning picking apart our D next week. Its not like we havent had 5 years to address the issues. Poor drafting and a boring defense= no championships.

The defense played fairly well the last two weeks before the bye. It didn't suck. It was average.

The D allowed them to get control of the game early and they kept control the entire way through. This game was nowhere near as close as the final score indicates. And yes, the offense was terrible too.

Again, I am not talking about today. I am talking the two weeks before the bye. Today the defense played horrible except in the red zone.

This patriots team will rebound, just like they did after the Bills game..they rarely lose 2games in a row

I have to wonder if Bye weeks are killing teams momentum this year...because after 2 games of playing some solid defense, they laid an egg...giving up 3rd and long sooo many times

but thats not to mean you cant blame the offense as well...they only put up 17points, and 7of them were because of a guyton interception....something needs to change, because the past 2 games the Offense hasnt been so stellar

teams after the bye week are something like 3-10 this year...am I dissapointed that the same problems from the first couple weeks returned? absolutely...but im confident that this team will rebound
