Think I would take Peterson over Rice if we can have any criminals of our choice...[emoji6]
Damn, I forgot about Peterson. I hate how players I really love do these kind of **** things. I F*cking loved Hernandez. He could break ankles like no player I've ever seen. Simply amazing. I usually go back and watch previous pats seasons, but I couldn't watch any 2011/2012 Pats seasons for a while because I didn't want to see Hernandez break ankles and feel happy for a murderer.

Peterson is kind of the same, but different. I f*cking hate what he did to his child. Hitting someone is not a good way of having them learn something. But he has been so incredibly good in his play, and at least he didn't kill someone(s) or knock someones unconscious, so I think that I might have forgotten him on that list because his play and that he didn't kill or KO.

I really liked Rice too. But the coldness in him dragging his girlfriend, KO, out of the elevator really scared the **** out of me. That was some f*cking psychopathic behavior. **** this ****. Not to downplay the victims of all the players that have abused both mentally and physically, or killed. But I hate how I in my mind I have to go "Don't cheer for that play. he's an abuser (murderer)" when I watch old games they've played, or games after it.

That seemed pretty clearly a Myra thing, and subsequent signings (i.e. Haynesworth) seemed to bear that out.
Haynesworth was far from a choirboy but I don't recall any issues of domestic violence, just stomping opponents and road rage. While they signed Corey Dillon he had had one incident of DV when signed (others after his time with the Pats)they released Willie Andrews the next day after he was arrested fro brandishing a gun at his girlfriend. I can't recall any other players being signed who had a history of DV....
While it may have been Myra who pushed for C.Peter's release, it put the Pats on the map as speaking out against domestic violence, at a time when few did.

Haynesworth had the sexual assault case, for groping the waitress. Here's a Haynesworth rundown the Globe did in 2011:

seems like the perfect baltimore raven.
he'll fit in with their scumbag culture.

Put me in the no column on this one.

yeah lets grab him, and ray rice, and adrian peterson, and resign hernandez, and then maybe we could pick up Oj simpson on a train camp prove it deal

What Chasa said. It is not the Patriots Way to go after felons and thugs. Just ask A-Hern. If you think the Pats are in enough BS with the fabricated controversies RE Deflategate, then it would be truly pushing the envelope to sign Greg Hardy and his ilk. smh

Unless you think the Patriots should limit signings to members of the Vienna Boys Choir, this is the sort of legit questioning that has to be done about some players.
No they dont need to limit themselves to choir boys but considering they just won a superbowl with what looks like a decent group of people who don't have assault charges and media drama following them I dont see the need to go down this road.

Why not try to get Hernandez out of jail and sign Ray Rice too while we are at it.
Yeah, and Incognito (already with Buffalo?), how about the accused rapist from Indy? Why do some feel the need to corral scumbags?? Oh, I get it, we aren't doing well as it is.

If the Pats keep Revis and McCourty then they are not going to have the money to add any expensive free agents and Hardy is a piece of human garbage

Incognito with Rex...start the clown train up for the Bills this season....

WTF are they doing? They already had a decent defense...and they hire a DC as a HC ?

No wonder they are usually stuck in the basement....

Can he set the edge? Honestly we can probably bring back ayers much cheaper to pair with jones. A 2nd year jump for Easley would be huge for the line.

Hardy and Peterson are going very interesting to monitor this year. Both are still in their prime, and are at the very best at their position. I am actually fascinated to see which teams actually approach them as options, and how deep the excuse making will go for bringing them in.

Be prepared to read a lot of quotes from teammates and coaches saying;

"he paid his price this last year, and he really had a lot of time to learn from his mistakes"
" we all have done things we arent proud of, its about becoming a better man afterwards"
"he is our teammate and we are going to treat him like hes our family"
"he has been nothing but a model citizen since he got here"
"first guy in, last guy to leave, you can tell he has learned his lesson"

These guys, and the teams that bring them in will get their doctorate is B.S. from the spin from any potential signings.

Not going to lie Aaron Hernandez was my favorite player.

Well aside from that whole sexual abuse arrest I guess Haynesworth wasn't so bad...

Corey Dillon came over in 2004, after the Patriots had just won the Super Bowl.

I ever said he wasn't bad, I remembered the other stuff and had forgotten about the waitress. mea culpa...
Yeah it's the nature of the business you have a lot of thugs from inner cities on every team, you are going to have some problem children.

Hardy is only 26, Belichick may be able to mold him into a perfect patriots, why not.
