Is it Idzik or Ryan?? really do not care as long as they keep up the circus like atmosphere...

Geno Smith 2 for 8, 5 yards, 3 int... no need to do the math here, this has to be a negative qb rating...

Michael Vick.. 18 for 36, 153 yards, 1 int...

For a QB rating for the Jets of 17.....

Don Banks on the Jets' QB futility against Buffalo:

In one of the worst showings you’ll ever see a quarterback turn in, Smith finished 2-of-8 for five yards passing, with those three interceptions and a 0.0 passer rating. He was under center for just 12 plays, with the Bills catching more of his passes than the Jets. Smith has had decent games in the past, but it’s the same pattern over and over with him. He can’t string multiple strong performances together and reverts to his turnover-prone form far too often.

No, Michael Vick is not the long-term answer either. That’s equally obvious. Vick took over for Smith against the Bills and wound up committing three turnovers of his own, making the Jets the first team since the not-quite-immortal 1991 Phoenix Cardinals to play two quarterbacks who committed three turnovers in the same game. Move over Chris Chandler and Stan Gelbaugh, you’ve got company.

Meanwhile I am watching Rex Ryan's press conference in which he states that he is still very confident that Geno Smith will be a very good QB in the NFL.

Benigno should be priceless this morning. 15 minutes 'til the explosion...

Benigno never wants to see GeNO! again, and is calling for next year to have a new QB, new coach and new GM.

Awesome...

Next up:

Chiefs in K.C., followed by the Steelers and their traveling fans at the Met. They could easily be 1-9 heading into their bye week.

Decker said they arnt a bad football team...they just do stupid stuff.

Bad teams do stupid stuff. What a tool
He could be right, because if they didn't do "stupid stuff" they might be good, or at least mediocre. But then they wouldn't be the Green Beans.

It's their nature to do "stupid stuff".

I bet decker loves that deal!

Jets’ Rex Will Go Out A Fool If He Doesn’t Make Switch

Understand that by all rights, Rex Ryan has eight more games to go in his Jets coaching career. The only question is whether he chooses execution or suicide.

True leaders face the firing squad to meet their honorable ends. It’s the dummies who take the cyanide capsule. And right now, Ryan has his choice of the bullet or the pill. He can be the coach who made the best of what he had in his experienced, backup quarterback, or one who stubbornly stuck with his worst alternative as his team rode into the Third Circle of Hell.

Emotionally, I want the Jets to continue to be humiliated in every minute of every remaining game.

Thinking strategically, I want them to win all of the rest of their games, through absurd miracles and opponents' mistakes, except @ Minnesota. That puts them at 8-8, and gives KC, Pitt, and Buffalo another loss, and Miami two more losses. It also keeps the Jets in the middle of the draft order, and might keep Rex and one of the QB's around for another year.

Errr, one of those wins would be against the Pats no?

While it would be nice to find a way to keep Rex in NJ to guarantee the continued incompetence of the franchise, Idzik may be capable of doing that all by himself, and imagine the comedy gold that will come from Rex trashing the Jets after he is fired. That could last a few years.

Rex Ryan, defensive genius.
NY Jets 30th in points allowed.

Maybe Idzik is actually a genius. Who else would think of trading for a $10mill KR just before getting scored on 8 times in the next game.
