Rumor: Moss to Vikings?

Agreed, but seeing that they probably didn't arrive back in Foxboro till early in the AM, it just seemed..a stretch?

4:30 AM. Doesnt seem far fetched for the players to go home and get some sleep, then go back to Gillette around noon

Tweety McTweeters in da house!!!

Agreed.

Davis did not shut Moss down yesterday. Moss was open a lot.

Those double teams will then move to Welker, who they'll beat the crap out of.

Enjoy your contract Tommy. Call it hazard pay.

No... he wasnt. lol

Vontae was right next to him all night...

Tyler Durden is correct. That rumor is an utter crock. BB gave everyone two days off last night as a reward for a great game yesterday. They come back Thursday.
He still could've come into the facility on his day off to speak his mind to Belichick.

No... it's more like a venue for all the Moss and Patriots haters to get on board. They're pissed off because their doom & gloom prognostications went out the window with the win over Miami, so are jumping on this to assuage their hurt feelings.

yup everybody here wan'ts the Pats to fail! Its all one big conspiracy.

this trade (if its happening) is not to "see what the vikings value him at" because as we all know, the patriots set their own values on players.

Next, The compensation will be AT LEAST a 2nd Rounder or a player equivalent.

Here is why: They will likely get a 3rd rounder as a compensatory pick for him anyways...Vikes will finish in top half of the standings and therefore we arent trading randy moss to move from end of 3rd round to wherever the vikes pick in the 3rd round

Soooo that leaves a 2nd rounder....or first.. What do the pats value a 2nd rounder as?

Well, lets start at Vrabel and Cassel - whatever they were valued as to the organization - I would say we get something along that value for moss.

I do not think the vikes give up a 1st rounder - perhaps 2 2nds?

I love the draft but at best a draft pick is 50/50 to ever start an NFL game.

Maybe the player is Ray Edwards and the draft pick is a 3rd... I just made this up, feel free to tweet it.

Really were you at the game? Cause there is no way in hell you saw that on TV. Throwing out the bull**** flag! :confused3:

Just an idle thought here, what is Ochocinco's current contract situation? I was listening to some station on Sirius Sunday, and the announcers were mentioning something about "parking Ochocinco somewhere else"

I have no idea what they meant because I only caught the tail end of the conversation and didn't even really think about it.......until now

Like I said, it's just an idle thought and yes,I already have my flame suit on.

BillB loves Ocho as well. With Ocho, he never quits and will put a block without question. I think Ocho is a bit younger as well. Ocho wants a ring, and no way he will get it with Bengals.

Get a 3rd rounder for Moss, then, give a 3rd, 5th, 6th for Ocho, and have Ocho restructure his contract..

Pipe dream I think, as Bengals will not trade Ocho..

Too many pages to read but Karen Guregian verified that Moss had his agent ask the Pats to trade him after week 1. Maybe Moss has become a bad seed. Supposedly he and BB had words today. I would think BB has things lined up where we get something to help us this year and no way would he take a 3rd rounder.

Didn't say that. there is, however, a very vocal minority who regularly post here who always see the glass as half-empty, and use every loss or stumble as an "I told you so!" moment.

This is crazy.

Can see why you guys are going nuts, but Brady was no scrub without Moss. He used to spread the ball around better than any QB in the league. Against us (Jets) he seemed very zoned in on Moss, that would never happen. He would get like 12 different players receptions and then cap it off with a TD to Mike ******* Vrabel.

You lose a lot, but your offense wont fall apart.

He simply retweeted Glazer's tweet.

No. Simmons tweeted something an hour earlier than the Glazer retweet, and subsequently removed the tweet. He claimed he was trying to direct message someone on twitter to see if there was any truth in a series of follow-up tweets. Glazer reported it after.

Greenway, Edwards .............. they have other stuff we can use (Harvin, Rice). That said, we don't need another 3rd pick.

Wow. A complete rebuild underway?

I live in the semi-realistic world that Chilly isn't so completely ******ed to give away Rice/Harvin. And I'm not sold that Edwards isn't a product of the Williams wall.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Pat Kirwan and the folks on Sirius were talking about grumblings coming out of Cincy that they are about fed up with him. A poster above mentioned that they should "park him somewhere", that was part of the same segment. He probably heard a replay of it because they talked about last week.

Interesting point by Reiss comparing Moss sitch to Seymour -- last year of contract and all that, meaning Pats could do this for a #1 pick.

I do think a quarter of a season makes a difference in that comparison; but if any team has the right combination of desperate leadership and "now or never" mentality to do that, it's the Vikes.

Everyone remember when Brady got his first contract extension and they traded away his favorite receiver?

Some Dejavu...

Vikings become an instant Super Bowl contender...if not the favorite from the NFC. Pats are really foolish to let the 2nd best receiver in the history of the game walk like this...he's still elite and it's tough to get comparable value from any team because of his unparalleled abilities

So he was covered all game then? You must've seen that? To refute me.

just now on NFL Network, Mike Lombardi and Jason LaConfora says the deal is close to being done.
