How often does BB really get outcoached?

Most of us would probably agree BB and his staff were outcoached:

1. Today
2. In the Super Bowl
3. By Mangini once

BB further seems to be of the opinion that Shanahan outcoaches him as often as not; I don't really have an opinion on that.

How many other occasions are there?

I LOVE watching us play denver. The coaching on both sides is quite the chess match. For a few years denver beat us pretty good, and then remember when BB PURPOSEFULLY took a safetey to win the game? Great stuff.

As per your question, BB is a great coach, probably the best in the league. Nobody is perfect, and everyone gets caught off-guard sometimes.

Definately not very often. Maybe the 2003 opener against Buffalo.

Good call. When there's a total blowout loss with the talent the Pats have, or had even back then, the coaches blew it too.

Shanahan usually has Belichick's number.

IMO That was the players pouting over the release of a popular Lawyer Milloy.

2006 against Miami.

Even with Brady, I've seen the exact same movie before.

We're not immune.

If i had to guess what happened, I believe the reality of not having Brady for a sure-fire Super Bowl run really settled in this week.

Not enough time to digest it last week, especially with the hated Jets on the menu.

This was a huge emotional letdown today for everyone, and we're all facing the reality of not having Brady. It's not as bad as today, but the Vegas odds really point to the reality. 20 to 1. Not good.

On another front, please tell me that Wade Phillips will not actually win a Super Bowl this year.

Also, I rooted against the Buffalo Bills for the first time in 15 years today (other than when the Patriots are playing them) and that right there tells me this is not the type of year we've been used to seeing.
