i am in this thread late, haven't read it all, but we are 14-0 and looks at what happened to Dallas and Pit this weekend. It's so hard to win week to week in the NFL, never mind 14 straight. The bye week will be huge for the playoffs so they can rest up and recover.

I expect the supposed "greatest offense of all time" to perform at least at an AVERAGE LEVEL when playing against a terrible defense. At the very least, I certainly don't expect the "greatest QB ever" to be outperformed by a "weak armed QB". I understand that such logical thinking is difficult for a homer to comprehend so feel free to continue to enjoy the view from your homer glasses. Luckily Belichick isn't a homer so there's still hope that this inconsistent offense can be improved.

C'mon lets look at some of the bright spots here.

The Patriots had yet another strong defensive game and are starting to make their mark as a truly elite defense in the NFL this season.

Our current ranks in most of the key defensive stats:

#4 in ypg allowed
#4 in ppg allowed
#2 in opp 3rd down %
#5 in first downs allowed per game
#8 in yrds allowed per play
#3 in sacks
#5 in INTs
#7 in Forced Fumbles

To me, that kind of performance across the board can overcame any kind of little hiccup in the record-setting offense.

Guys and gals, this is a truly special football team.

not sure how many of you clowns were at the game today and i was and if you thought brady was going to throw 5 td's you are nuts i think the game plan today was smart and the defense looked great. From what i saw the pats didnt even try to establish a passing game and im sure that the weather from freezing my sack off was the reason.

i can't believe some of the posts here. the testimony is coming in from those who were there. the weather conditions were beyond bad. even so, the patriots effectively controlled the game. the D was great. thomas and maroney showed who they are...

hey ..why use logic, facts and reality when morons like PF1996 can spew ridiculous rants about Tom Brady and the offense? you see...these people want the team to play in an isolated environment....they don't want to watch football, they want Madden2007. Add the fantasy football Gurus who undoubtedly had a miserable day, and we end up with some people who are not happy that their team 1) WON!...2) wrapped up HFA..3)proved that it can run the ball and control the clock.....4) proved that they can play in bad weather conditions.

the funny thing is that almost all the contenders didn't play well today..

Cowboys: LOST!!! playing in their weather controlled dome
Colts: Won but didn't have that great of a game although they were playing in California.
Steelers:Lost....at home!


people with agendas should just STFU..and let real fans enjoy this remarkable team.

LOL, close enough, its frickin dallas, average season temp is like 67 degrees, its more like a 3/4 dome, thou it is still climate controlled .
