The older away game unis were my favorite. White shirts, red pants. Irving Fryar looked so good I was a very sexually confused 10 year old.

OK guy, time to stop talking.

I would love to see this third jersey:

You nailed it Michigan Dave. Get rid of those lame ass silver jerseys.

will be gone next yr, throwbacks will be back for good..

Yeah, I heard that the silver unis are going away sometime in the near future and the Pats 50 year anniversary year 2010 will feature more of the throwback.

Bring the red unis into the future and include the past in the glory. Raise it up. Bring it forward. Include it - it's part of our legacy, and it was the foundation for what we have now. Without the past we don't even exist now.

great; that's what i exactly feel too

that ones are my number 1 too ! At 2nd place i put the red shirts and white paints

I did like when we first changed the uni's not those 3d version but in 94 those were nice solid blui uni's but the ones after that were crap until the Belichick threads..

i hope they will remain always as 3rd uniform and dressed minimum once a year regularly...

agreed.
my favourite are red shirts and white pants.

wellcome on board Italian Patriot

now i'm no-more the only italian fan here

this is a beautiful, awesome board

i have 'learned' a lot here and i have found a lot of very good persons here (i can not mention all of them as they are really many)

I started a thread on this about a month ago. I actually would like to see them wear them. Who cares about how we were, or how we played then. I would like to see them, although I had a lot of people disagree.

Now, isn't this uni wrong... I thought that the shoulder stripe went all the way around to make a complete circle.

I'm nitpicking of course.

When I saw this thread bumped back up I had this strange hope that we were wearing the reds today.

It did-and not on the shoulder but on the bottom of the sleeve.

That's what I meant. The Colts old uni had the shoulder stripe going all the way around too...but who cares about them.

Bring back the throwbacks!

I'll settle this debate for everyone:

* The red uniforms of yesteryear represent a losing tradition and are historically inaccurate applied to the Patriots motif, in that the British -- the enemy -- wore red. A flawed concept to begin with.

* The Colonial Army (the "original Patriots") wore blue.

* The silver alternates are very cool and should replace the white road jersey.
