The older away game unis were my favorite. White shirts, red pants. Irving Fryar looked so good I was a very sexually confused 10 year old.
OK guy, time to stop talking.

I would love to see this third jersey:
You nailed it Michigan Dave. Get rid of those lame ass silver jerseys.
will be gone next yr, throwbacks will be back for good..
Bring the red unis into the future and include the past in the glory. Raise it up. Bring it forward. Include it - it's part of our legacy, and it was the foundation for what we have now. Without the past we don't even exist now.

When I saw this thread bumped back up I had this strange hope that we were wearing the reds today.
Now, isn't this uni wrong... I thought that the shoulder stripe went all the way around to make a complete circle.
I'm nitpicking of course.
It did-and not on the shoulder but on the bottom of the sleeve.
agreed.

I'll settle this debate for everyone:
* The red uniforms of yesteryear represent a losing tradition and are historically inaccurate applied to the Patriots motif, in that the British -- the enemy -- wore red. A flawed concept to begin with.
* The Colonial Army (the "original Patriots") wore blue.
* The silver alternates are very cool and should replace the white road jersey.
