@Rand_Getlin As free agency approaches I'm told #49ers WR Anquan Boldin wants to play for a team that can compete at the highest level. Important to him.

Too late on him? He coulf still help.

For a cheap veteran I'd rather have Andre Johnson. Both guys might be cooked though.

lol no....

Boldin actually consistently produced in SF last year, 6 games with 70+ receiving yards, Almost 800 yards receiving and he missed 2 games. Johnson did absolutely nothing outside of showing up against Houston in Houston and catching 2 TDs.

Boldin would be a nice replacement for LaFell.

Tough, proven and has solid hands. Literally the anti-LaFell.

Still need other weapons though. Would love Boldin and Sanu or Jones.

Boldin absolutely still can play. He was very good last year, there is nothing to suggest he is cooked. He'd be huge here. Johnson is a different story.

I'd take Boldin and Travis Benjamin.

And don't forget that Blaine Gabbert was his QB for several games..

Boldin would be nice for a year but I get a little sick of these stop gap players. I'd really like to hit a good reciever in the draft.
So why not do both in one year? Nab Sterling Shepherd in the 2nd, sign Boldin, and we are set at WR for next year.

Please, please come here Boldin.

I definitely think Boldin can replace what Lafell's production was in 2014. (Around 900-ish yards, good steady outside target.)

I'm a fan of Shepard but that would put Edelman, Amendola, Martin and Shepard on the same roster (not to mention Harper). That's a lot of smaller guys.

Bolden was a force for years and was absolutely dominant in the 2012 AFCCG. But that was a few years ago, and he was matched up against...I don't even remember. Marquis Cole? Tavon Wilson?

Can he still produce? Here with our "concepts" offense?

Those are the type of guys that seem to thrive in the Brady era offenses though. (Moss being the exception)

No Boldin is the kind of signing that is a big meh when a younger more talented at this part of his career.
Rod Streater or Andre Holmes over Anquan Boldin the poster who suggested involving a Chandler Jones trade for Michael Floyd is a brilliant idea.
With Tamba hali and possibly Jason Piere Paul that makes his value dip a bit I would assume

His 7.00 3-cone was disappointing but I'd be pleased with drafting Shepard - he's a very good, albeit limited, receiver. I'm leaning more towards Miller, Peake or Mitchell currently but that will depend on FA.

Boldin played slot receiver in SF this year. He's not the outside threat people remember him to be.
