I don't know where this rumor got started about Chandler Jones not being good at setting the edge.
Thanks for the info, Max. That was really Brown? He must have been playing the slot that play because it looked like he was coming up from the middle of the formation. At any rate it was an outstanding play. Are you on twitter? If so, just follow @Rich-Hill. He's great for these.
Edit: Pretty sure that's Tarrell Brown #31. Hadn't seen that - he really knocked that RT back. Brown was very impressive last night.
I always thought he was one of the better DE against the run since he's been here. It is his pass rush that I think needs a bit more consistency.I don't know where this rumor got started about Chandler Jones not being good at setting the edge. He's been solid at that assignment since his first year. Chandler has ALWAYS been a well round DE.

But as for Twitter, I'm a flip phone man. I can never understand texting when it's easier to just call and speak to the one your communicating. I guess its a generational thing and I'm in the wrong generation. So for now, I'm going to have to rely on you.

Jones, Ninkovich, Sheard, Easley, Brown, Siliga. One of the best DL rotations in the league.
I'd love to see him rush the passer with the same body angle that he attacked the run on. I think he is so much more effective when he stays low and accelerates off the first step. Just watch the difference between the run play and the pass. I know he gets the sack, but that was because of his hands and feet, not his explosion.I'm still cautiously optimistic about Easley but he really flashed last night when Patricia let loose the dogs. I still question his ability to get off of blocks but when they use him in conjunction with blitzes (which they will) or in obvious passing downs there's going to be a lot of issues caused by him. That entire front is young and really, really good. I think they're going to be much better than last year's defense.
Cam is strong, but Easley was able to bring him down with just one hand. It even looked like fingers.Easley impressed the heck out of me last night - that's the guy I thought he'd be!

What I'm still waiting from Chandler Jones that would make him into a significant pass rusher in this league, is the explosive bull rush. Too often, IMO, I still see him using that hesitation step move to try and get by OT's. For once I just want to see him just explode off the ball with a great first step and walk the OT back to the QB. Do that a few times and make the OT fear it, and he can THEN use those other movesI always thought he was one of the better DE against the run since he's been here. BTW- on the run I happened to notice Malcolm Brown on that play. I like the way he controlled his man and the nimble feet that got him down the line to the ball. Also just a bit too high for my taste, but nice to see.
