Florio has been fantastic.
But when does Brady's party stop playing rope-a-dope and start throwing punches?
In court (though I don't claim that there's been any rope-a-dope).

It IS certainly worth the read, but unfortunately like all of the other leaked information, the damage has already occurred by the time the "real" story gets out.
I live in NY so I have my fair share of haters as well. I just tell them that I don't have time to waste on idiots who argue about something they didnt even read. (GFY smirk optional) Anyone I've spoken to who has read the Wells report, haters included, agreed that this was nonsense.Anyone know where I can get one of those shirts that was going around awhile back that said something like "if you don't like the patriots than you probably won't like me and I'm ok with that". I could really use it right now, cut a few conversations before they start. Lol
I live out of state so not much Patriots support around here, just since this news broke already heard a couple "why does your team always have to cheat" and "i can't stand Tom Brady he's a arrogant cheater" etc.
Tomorrow will be another fun day at work!
I just hope whatever judge gets is good at tuning out public opinion. (I know I know their not supposed to, supposed to be fair ) but I would think everyone including judges has seen all this information leak. I just hope their paying attention to how much false information has been released and not corrected.Michael McCann said this is all a red herring. From a legal standpoint, how did Brady destroy evidence that the NFL had no right to unless Brady willfully turned it over anyway. All these arguments that Brady have destroyed his court case with his cell phone are bunk. It would only matter if the facts of the case were going to be argued in court which they won't.
Unfortunately, in the court of public opinion, this will destroy Brady's image forever for a large segment of this country.
???
This case is now in the hands of the Federal Court. There was no damage done today, unless you're referring to the NFL's attempt at forum shopping.
Yes, I'm referring to the decision to one up the other side on the selection of venue, but in this instance I'm also referring to the court of public opinion.

Now Tom can make a case for defamation for sure.
Brady will win the court battle but right now he has already lost the war for his integrity.
Sadly, the court of public opinion is being played masterfully by the NFL.
That is what Florio's column tonight was all about even though the real facts of the case do not bear it out. He nailed it.
- Public opinion doesn't matter, and it will ebb and flow, depending upon what game the NFL plays with a release on a given day. With regards to the phone, for example, we already know that Brady offered to help the league with the data, and the league decided not to follow that up. Florio's already pointing that out.
He asked for the texts on the phone and destroying the phone potentially (and it seems like it happened ) destroys the texts, so no you don't destroy the phone. I would fight hard to keep from having to turn over the phone, but that is different from destroying it. I'd like to hear the explanation for this from the Brady camp because now there is no good explanation. All we are hearing now from anyone outside of NE is that Brady is a cheater and destroying the phone proves it. I think Brady did nothing wrong here, but destroying the phone makes it real hard to mount an argument in favor of Brady. Maybe there's a good explanation and if so let's hear it. Yeah, the I think phone is a red herring, but to anyone who has not invested any time in understanding what has been going on it is red meat.Wells didn't even ask for Brady's phone, just his records. Also, there was no chance Brady was handing over his phone to the NFL.
My point was that once again, we hear the real truth after the bomb has been dropped. That's been the case all along.
Yes, there have been ups and downs in the media battle, but there's no doubt in anyone's mind that the NFL has gotten the better of them in that regard, and it's not even close.
Brady should never be turning over his phone without court order. But destroying the phone on the day of meeting Wells and then admitting to it is a colossally bad PR move. You have to try hard to convince yourself that he wasn't hiding something.

Exactly. That consistent first punch has been winning it for the NFL for 6 months now.
Brady's team needs to change the rhythm of this.
With all due respect to the legal eagles, Brady's raison d'etre for pursuing this at this point in time is purely for his reputation - - not to eke out a Ray Lewis legal tko.
