I know. But Cincy will fold easily. That game will still matter for #1 and we ain't losing that one

I think CIN is going to lose as well. I just don't think they're in the same class as the Broncos--even if it's just for one game.

The concern about DEN running the table from a month or so ago is real, as much as we don't want it to be. Every week we hear about how team X is going to beat Denver this coming week (MIA, KC, BUF, SD), and it's yet to happen.

I want to think that CIN can do it, but I'm pretty skeptical putting my faith in Andy freaking Dalton. Hell, I'm doubtful that CIN will even beat Pittsburgh in 2 weeks in their rematch.

Anyway, Go Bungles!

Apparently, Mr. Graham isn't the brightest bulb on the Xmas tree, considering that his team will be sitting out the postseason yet again, while the team who's "nothing special" is playing for the top seed in the AFC.

Aye!

1. Kline seems to be more effective than a banged up Connoly.

2. Brady seriously needs to work on his deep ball accuracy. If he cannot improve upon his accuracy, he needs to at least put more air on the ball like he did the one to Edelman. You can really tell when he doesn't put enough air under it by how fast they get down the field.

3. I like Devlin on the field for multiple reasons. It improves our run game but it seems to make our passing game more effective as well. Devlin on the field removes Hooman and Amendola. Devlin is a better blocker than Hooman and Brady seems more likely to throw him the ball than he would to Amendola. 2 birds 1 stone kind of thing.

4. Worst sequence of run plays seemingly on purpose to end a half, maybe ever.

5. First drive of the third quarter was one of my favorites in recent memory. It had a little bit of everything and a Brady/unicorn run.

6. I believe this is the first time we completely shutdown Hartline in years. He and Clay make their offense go.

7. Lastly, more Gray please.

You're not a fan of seeing Vereen attempt to push the middle and fall forward for a yard? ;)

I was so pissed that they scored to end the half that I almost felt that we deserved to lose. My emotions changed after the Brady run. lol

1. Jamie Collins, Dont'a Hightower, Chandler Jones. Wow! Just wow!

2. Solder and Vollmer did well today. The interior OL, not so much.

3. It's interesting that BB and/or McDaniels don't trust Gray without giving him an extra blocker whether it be an extra TE, 6th OL or Develin. But the way he played today, they should just keep doing it.

4. The defensive front 2-7 was fascinating to watch today. So many varieties of lineups. Never thought I'd see a Nink-Wilfork-Chandler Jones front three with Hightower and Ayers playing OLB as well. Fascinating.

5. Harmon and Wilson have found a nice spot on the roster as respective backups to McCourty and Chung. Regardless of the draft position, they fill out the roster nicely.

6. Sort out the Butler/Dennard position and this defense is close to perfect.
I loved tavon Wilson's blocking on Harmon's Interception, he sprinted up to start making a lane almost before Harmon had picked the ball off.

As some other posters mentioned, I think it was still the correct call to play the percentages and try to go into the half up 14-6.

The difference of course, was the piss poor punt coverage (and no call penalty), not to mention the decision to have Malcolm Butler directly on Mike Wallace--although I suppose there were double coverage aspects from McCourty.

I haven't re-watched the play since it happened, but I think it was a combination of bad things that happened. One could argue the decision to go conservative, but in my opinion that was probably the least of it.

My emotions actually changed after seeing Gray run hard to start the second half. That helped to set the tone, I think.

As far as the TFB run goes, I'd have much rather have seen him take a step out of bounds. He appeared to get up a tad wobbly, and although we all appreciate his desire and competitiveness, it wasn't the smartest of decisions. I agree it pumped the team up, but I really don't want to see it again unless it comes in the most important game of the year ;)

I know but I loved it. Brady got a little ****y after breaking that linebacker's ankle(he should be cut immediately lol).

It was an unnecessary risk as they seemingly didn't even try to get a first down. Dumb stuff like that will cost you a game in the playoffs.

I wonder about T Wilson and Harmon. This year, with a stronger secondary, they come in late and seem to produce. Question : are they improving ? is it more "the end of game blowout effect ? a combo of both ?

I would love for those two guys to step up and play great, but I fear they are benefitting from the desperation at the end of games. Thoughts ?

The play in question occurred in the 2nd quarter when it was 7-3.

Ok. I wish I got more formation/player usage from the TV telecast. Often times, I wish I knew pre-snap who was out there. I'd rather have that info scrolling on the bottom of the screen instead of the Jacksonville score.

He was the play caller in the second half too, you can't criticise him when things don't go well and then don't credit him when it does.

Funny, I was pretty upset in the second half as well. When your QB ends up on the ground after nearly every pass play - even the successful ones - and you have a guy going for 5 yards a pop, (excuse my Motumboise) RUN THE DAMN BALL! NE was unnecessarily putting Tom in harms way long after the game was decided and it was infuriating. It's one thing if no one was getting near him, but why allow your QB to absorb half a dozen hits to expand a 31-13 lead to 41-13? Miami was in full roll over mode at that point and you probably do just as well toting the rock as you did slinging it.

McDaniels loves the pass.

I'll agree that Gray has been vastly overrated around here

Overrated, underrated, perfectly rated.... it's all debatable and, frankly, a straw man. No one is saying he is a combination of Beast Mode and Jamal Charles, just that he is better than Blount. You don't have to be a top 3 RB for that to be possible.

Sure, I do too. And I had no problem with them taking advantage of the newfound running game with some play action. But a 24 point lead in the 4th against a team that is allowing you to run? Maybe it's time to give your QB a breather.

Not quite sure about that. Which will win out? Dalton and Lewis crumbling in the national spotlight or Manning wilting in 20 degree temperatures? I know that the Broncos overcame Manning wilting in the cold in KC, but I don't know if they can twice.
