This tells me unless Bill has some trades for some Veterans in his pocket, Allen, Umineyera, We are drafting defensive line and linebacker early and often.

We are getting back a healthy Pryor, added fannene and Scott, But I wouldn't be surprised if the Patriots trade for a vet and draft a hopeful stud.
At least one or the other has to happen though.
I doubt the New England Patriots could fit Jared Allen's or Osi Umenyiora's contract under the salary cap.

I'm getting a little nervous about the Bills. I think they have a great shot at beating us twice next year

I for one would not admit that my **** was that small in a public forum

Re-sign Andre Carter and look forward to the 2012 NFL Draft.

Re-sign Carter ASAP. Don't rely on the draft. Belichick hasn't drafted and developed a pass rusher since he has been head coach.

I think Andre Carter will still be available before the season starts.

I liked him here, and I'm certainly not going to trash him now that he's gone. He did a great job last year, especially after filling in for Carter in the second half of the season, and he deserves whatever payday he got.

That said, he reminds me too much of TBC when he returned. One-year deal, career year, big contract, fade into obscurity. And if we are going to be playing more 3-4, I don't think he fits into enough snaps to be worth a lot of money.

Draft should be interesting.

Time to hit it big in the draft ..move up if needed.....grab the guy that you want...plenty of ammo to get at least 2 studs.....

Too bad it isn't BB's style.....:(

what makes people think Carter, a one-dimensional 34 year old pass rusher coming off major knee surgery is going to be anything more than a JAG if he comes back? i sincerely doubt that if bb thinks there's still a need there he's banking on him.

4 years $27.5m with $8m guaranteed for Anderson.

Damn Anderson cashed in.

Wow. At those numbers, good luck and good riddance.

No way the Pats are paying that much, good for him. He gave us a good year.

He's going to be paired opposite Mario Williams. Not only did he hit the FA lottery, but he should look very good on the pass rush for them.

Buffalo's defense is is going to be tough. Much like Miami's defense.

WTH, Jack? What did Anderson sleep with your wife on his way to Buffalo? To say "Good Riddance" to him? Seriously. The guy played extremely well for the Pats last year both before and after Carter went down. And the "Good Riddance" makes it sound like he was a bad player ala Albert Haynesworth..

BB needs to ensure we have a strong run game to counter this

I'm bummed too but it was about money and I can't blame him for taking advantage. No one had even heard of him before last year.

I don't think that's true...i recall he had a pretty promising rookie season back in 06.

Anyways...good for him and he did his job with us.

Dude, please spare me the faux outrage. I thought this was reasonably clear, but if the choice is Anderson at ~6.75 per or Anderson in another uniform, then yes, from a business/economic perspective, I say good riddance. There's nothing personal about it and I don't know why you'd think otherwise.
