OMG. Steelers out. Saints out. Packers out.

Oversimplification, IMO, especially since the Giants won largely via a high octane offense. The real story from this weekend, as I see it, is painfully clear:

Saints had 5 giveaways, 1 takeaway.
Texans had 4 giveaways, 0 takeaways
Packers had 4 giveaways, 1 takeaway.

All three of those teams are done for exactly one reason: Forced turnovers.

Fixed your post ;)

There's a whole lot of overrating of Mr. Eli Manning right now.

And the Giants in general. This is a team that was swept by the Redskins and at one point lost 4 straight. They are hot right now, no denying that, but a 9-7 ballclub that won the weak, weak NFC East. I like SF to beat them next weekend.

Patriots are not getting a mention now as SB champs.

Stupid stupid people.

Sow it into them Tom.

Let us not forget that when we last faced (lost to) the Giants, they were without their top 2 offensive weapons... Bradshaw and Nicks.

Guys like Jacobs and Ballard handed us that loss.

I want ZERO part of a rematch with the Giants.....ZERO!....ZERO!!....ZERO!!!!!

My 8 year olds bus driver is a huge, loud mouthed Giants fan, who hands the kids crap about how the Giants are better than the Patriots all the time. It was hard enough after 2007, but if that hapens again, my little one and I will not only have to endure the loss, but also handle that blow-hards chest puffing. I don't want to have to be arrested for punching out my kids bus driver for making my 2nd grader cry.

You know what though? This team is also better since that last meeting. The offensive line is playing better than it has in awhile and I think will be trouble for any opposing team. The running game is finding its stride. Brady and the wr/te's are firing on all cylinders. And dare I say it? The defense is swarming and playing out of their minds.

But first we must take care of business this week. I'm sure the Pats aren't reserving hotel rooms and airfare for their families just yet.

As much as people want to play the Giants for revenge..I don't.

That defense is nasty and Eli is a different player in the postseason this time round.

I can't decide which strikes me as loonier... to repeat exactly the same stuff about how the Giants aren't really in our league that we spouted in 07, or to say they scare the pi$$ out of us oh no the big bad Giants, hope we don't play 'em.

They're very good. If they win, they're the best team in the NFC. If we win, and we play them, be better.

Every year is different, every team is different. Is our D jelling, or can they only jell against the now utterly discredited Broncos? Can they stop the Gintz (as they did just fine in 07/07?) Do we really think that this Patriots offense can continue to hit on all 8, as opposed to the 08 team's meltdown? I think so -- for one thing the 07/08 team had a big reliance on the deep threat. For another thing, they just plain sucked when the big game came -- whether because of mental stuff (spygate, "perfection," whatevah,) or because we simply got outcoached, outplayed, and forgive me, out-officiated.

Win or lose, you can't feel bad about a Gintz-Pats re-match. If anything, going into this game, the Pats will have a visceral reminder that if we took anything for granted in 07/08, there can't be a repeat.

I'm just glad we're still playing, and I just want to beat the Ravens. After that... Bring it :D

The more under played they are the more I like it, screw the publicity let them say TB sucks and the pats have no chance, make the Ravens favs, fawn over Eli, whatever.... the worse the better.

Stay under the radar and don't give other teams bulletin board material that's key IMO.

Although, because these things take time, the city of Boston is planning some mini-parade, and the ball caps are off to the silk-screener...if we lose, they all go off to Ghana or somewhere. It's just what they do LOL

GB & NO were the only teams I felt apprehensive about (though I thought we would win anyway). Of the rest, NYG are the scariest but we will crush both teams we play over the next two games.

I just have a feeling that the Pats will win big and get revenge on 2009 & 2007 in the process.

I know some will laugh...but if it's pats vs giants..i will be nervous as ****....especially with them beating us last time in the SB..can't take that again...

Don't worry they won't catch a ball the top of a helmet again. :)
( that only happens once in a million years)

Seriously Not worried, the only team left that can beat the PATs
is the PATs themselves.

Happy the packers are out but let's not underestimate the teams remaining! One game at a time people, next obstacle is the ravens.

Did you see Nicks catch a Hail Mary in the endzone off his helmet? It's like God got his Divisional Playoffs mixed up and took care of the road team in the wrong game (i.e. for Tebow last night).

I swore I would be on a high all day today after last night, first playoff win in four years, and I will start worrying about the Ravens tomorrow. But I remember Feb 2008, and I was there against the G-Men this year. IF we are in the Super Bowl, and IF it is a rematch, the O-Line has to have the game of their life. If you can contain the front four, the Gianta will have to send in the extra guy, and that is when Brady can do his thing. On defense, let's just hope that last night wasn't just bad competition, and we are jelling.

That said, let's get back to the task at hand. The Pats can beat this team. Ravens don't have the qb and receivers to shred them, and I don't think that the Ravens D can cover all our guys.

X Factor - Can we get someone on the outside besides Branch? That is KEY. Two passes for 25 yards that is all I ask.

Four teams left - someone is going to win - IT COULD BE THE PATS!!

I've never wanted anything more than I want another shot at the giants in the superbowl
