From Fan Nation so don't know the validity, anyways......

"My father-in-law plays golf with one of the Sanchize's high school coaches."

"Assessment - dumb as a rock and entitled as hell".

"Sounds like things don't change."

Wait, did they actually hire Haley? I thought that was just wild speculation on that board.

The Jets actually have three coaches with their hands on the offense who were NFL head coaches within the last few months?

It's sadly apparent that there are simply those out there who have a cult-like following of Sanchez and will distort any and all facts regarding him and other QBs in history to push an agenda that supports him:

Jets’ Mark Sanchez isn’t first young quarterback to take step back, but team better hope he gets better - NYPOST.com

Which is the more hilarious quote?

But that doesn’t change the eerie similarities between where Manning was at age 25 and where Sanchez is at 25 — the fact Manning’s 23-9 became 6-10 in ’01 (as Sanchez’s 19-12 became 8-8 this year), the fact Manning’s 26-23 touchdown-to-interception breakdown is awfully close to Sanchez’s 26-18 ratio, the fact that some nameless malcontent was throwing darts in the Indianapolis Star back in January of ’02.

It doesn’t change this truth: Even the greatest quarterbacks have hiccups. Not every quarterback is the child star Tom Brady was (after a year to do nothing but watch and learn) or Aaron Rodgers (who had three)

No, they haven't hired him yet. But speculation that they might is good enough reason to identify it as additional New Jersey suckage.

The problem with Haley being a great disciplinary force is that Sanchez can't handle the discipline. While Cassel could give back as good as he got, Sanchez just might pee down his leg.

Is that another racist Chihuahua reference?

Yah, a fragile psyche QB so delicate that he can't handle criticism and gets special kid glove treatment according to his team will just thrive having a domineering butthead like Haley screaming in his ear.

The Jets need to return to what worked for them. I forget if that was the dominating ground game and shutdown D or was it the innovative Red Light Green Light system?

Picture this: Sanchez walks into the team cafeteria, past a table of defensive players whispering negative comments about him among themselves. Yeah, that actually happened during the season.

Look for Sparano to scale back the playbook. Schottenheimer ran a high-volume offense and it overwhelmed Sanchez at times, according to sources. Sanchez also needs a quarterback coach who can help him better understand pass coverages. Too often he doesn't know how to react when his first read is covered.

"No," said an opposing personnel executive, speaking on the condition of anonymity. "Eli has a better arm and he's a better deep-ball thrower. I think Eli is a franchise quarterback. I see 'starter' ability in Sanchez. He'll get better, but I don't see a franchise quarterback."

New York Jets -- Mark Sanchez has a lot of fixing to do on his image, performance - ESPN New York

There's more good stuff in the story. The Jets really screwed up with this kid. He needed to be on the bench learning away from the field. Instead, they threw him into the fire. Then, to make things worse, the team did well despite his being a lousy QB. Now, in order to try to save the kid, they've scapegoated the O.C. (You know it wasn't his call on who was the starting QB), they're going to dumb down the playbook (return of colored cards, maybe?), and they're going to have to try forcing this kid on his team as a leader. This is what happens when you sell a desperate and stupid fan base a bill of goods.

What a freakin' horror show. :D

I am opposed to racist Chihuahuas.

Ok, I'm really not. I thought the Taco Bell one was kind of amusing, actually.

It's true -- and the signs are good for 2012! :D

The problem with the Jets moving forward is the number of guys they are locked into that don't play up to their cap charge:

Revis/Cro $20M - You can't pay that much at one position and not be all-time dominant
Sanchez $14M - No explanation needed (or possible)
Harris $12M - I actually really like Harris, just not at that price
D'Brick $12M - Obscene price for average performances
Holmes $9M - Like buying a Ferrari (that doesn't always run) and living on a farm
Pace $7M - Good guy but skills are rapidly eroding
Scott $6M - Not a good guy and skills have already eroded

That is $80M for 8 players. None of them with viable players behind them in the pipeline. Some will be gone (Scott) and others will get restructured so the "salary cap hell" aspect is overrated...but it is a mess. For comparison, the Pats will return the bulk of their roster for about the same cap charge, leaving plenty of room to sign Welker, Carter and Anderson plus the handful of high draft picks coming onboard next year.

The two linebacker charges are what's going to kill them. Sanchez' money is high, but it's not something teams don't apportion for. Holmes' money isn't anything obscene for a WR. D'Brick is overpaid and overrated, but he's at least a decent player.

Pace and Scott are shot fighters still getting big paydays. They may end up cutting them outright. That's gotta hurt.

This truly is the gift that keeps on giving, each day with more new personal attacks on Sanchez etc.....just great stuff!

So.... two different stories....

Jets expected to simplify playbook for Sanchez | ProFootballTalk

“I’ve never heard that,” Johnson said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, via the New York Daily News. “He’s the first guy in the building every morning and the last guy to leave. So, the last thing he is is lazy. . . . He’s an NFL quarterback. That’s what you expect from an NFL quarterback.”

Woody Johnson on Mark Sanchez: “The last thing he is is lazy” | ProFootballTalk

I'm not sure Johnson's doing him any favors. It's probably better to be thought of as a guy who just needs to work harder than to be thought of as a guy who's played 3 seasons and is still too stupid to digest a playbook or come off a primary read.

Either way, it's a win for those watching that train wreck.

The best part for us Pats fans is the fact that there is absolutely nothing the Nyets can do to fix it, without starting over from the top. Rex can't/won't change to show the team that he is part of the problem, Tanny keeps hiring/ drafting/ signing used up guys no one wants, yet because they made a name, c'mon over, and Woody just defends it all in the media. I predict the mouth will get louder, the expectations higher, and the crash to be much bigger than anything we have yet to imagine. Rex may coach himself out of football this year, including DC positions.

Before you say what a great DC he's be, think of how "great" his D is. Carried over from daddy, one SB since '85. He got his ring as an assistant DC. That don't count to me.
