Observing the Gangrenous pages, the story seems to be that Braylon will cost too much, since Condon screwed them over with his dastardly stringing them along with his client Asomougha, and simultaneously, really driving up the price of his other client Cro, while all CB hungry teams were signing other alternatives. Now he is holding out for big bucks for Cro, who has another hoard of kids to feed, after all.
So the Jets brain-Drain said fine, well sign Plax cheap and sign Todd Heap as the pair will make up for losing the better Braylon.
They signed a guaranteed contract with Plax, and then brought Todd Heap into sign him. While negotiating, he informed them that he just signed with the Arizona Cards. Oops...
Strike Out!
No Aso, No Braylon, No Heap; and a big pile of over-aged Jailbird meat, dumped by the Steelers, and dumped by the Giants.
The unraveling continues...
