JETS sign Plax...

And to add to it the Jets are about to overpay for Cromatire and it could be by a lot..love it

Cromartie is not that physical and gets beat a good amount. Much worse than if the Jets got Aso.

Jets are also talking to James Jones ...the former Packer

Now this would worry me somewhat but those rumors were out there before they signed Plax so might very well be off the table.

Plax is OLD. Not impressed.

Heap is a good player and their TE's are a joke after Keller. They should be all over this guy.

Did. Not. Want - when the rumors originally started months ago.

Giants stank, wheee.

It'll take him about five minutes to dis the HC and go AWOL. "Where is he?" "Um, not calling us back. . . Dunno, shooting himself in the leg again?" "Maybe he shot himself in the face this time."

Jets need a tall target, no question; and Plaxiha is gonna kiss our back flipping drunkard on the way out, but please. PLEASE. It's just so wrong.

Someone mentioned that Coach Ryan shot himself in the foot paying too much guaranteed money for a player whose physical abilities may be on the downside and who will need months to get into proper football shape.

But I'm wondering how he does that if he can't see his foot?

Along the lines of Jets moves, here's a ball-washing article fellating Tanny...

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/31/s...m-this-is-your-captain-speaking.html?_r=1&hp#

Mortgaging your future for established and over-paid players and relying on daddy Goodell to bail you out of your cap messes, yeah what a genius.

There is a reason the Jets have the least amount of under age 25 talent in the league. It's because scouting is hard. Let's just trade and sign FA's instead. That's 'aggressive'.

Hey ya'll - big Pats fan here, first time posting.

I think Plaxico has upside potential, but realistically he will be average until he gets his football legs back. He might have spent a decent amount of time avoiding the opposition in prison, but CB's in the NFL > prison inmates.

Although, I saw The Longest Yard one time and can say with some level of confidence that he may be ready to play today. :confused2:

===========================

:welcome:

The Jets had to make this move, they had already decided not to bring Edwards back and without Edwards a big downgrade to the O.

The Jets window is closing rapidly.

Amen Brother!!

Todd Heap signs with the Arizona Cardinals.

Observing the Gangrenous pages, the story seems to be that Braylon will cost too much, since Condon screwed them over with his dastardly stringing them along with his client Asomougha, and simultaneously, really driving up the price of his other client Cro, while all CB hungry teams were signing other alternatives. Now he is holding out for big bucks for Cro, who has another hoard of kids to feed, after all.

So the Jets brain-Drain said fine, well sign Plax cheap and sign Todd Heap as the pair will make up for losing the better Braylon.

They signed a guaranteed contract with Plax, and then brought Todd Heap into sign him. While negotiating, he informed them that he just signed with the Arizona Cards. Oops...

Strike Out!

No Aso, No Braylon, No Heap; and a big pile of over-aged Jailbird meat, dumped by the Steelers, and dumped by the Giants.

The unraveling continues...

Haha... Given what Plex went to jail for, and the Rex fetish vids from last year, this makrs the signing even funnier.

Jets best be hoping they don't shoot themselves in the foot with this one.

I love it!

I was listening to sports radio and Bob Glauber was on. He had nothing but praise for Aso. Said he was very intelligent and a business like professional on the field.

In his mind, Rexs big mouth Super Bowl bragging blather turned Aso off.

I heard a bit of Aso's Eagles press conference this morning on SIRIUS NFL radio. He seemed well grounded and thoughtful. Were he a Patriot he'd be a great spokesman for the team. Seems like a great guy.

How come the Jets don't smell of arrogance and desperation?

Good luck with your felon!!

While I would still like to see Moss come in at a low dollar deal, I think Moss will be going to the EAGLES.

Stupid Plaxico. He's one of the people responsible for me not being able to listen to Tom Petty ever again.
