Evans has worn out his welcome in Buffalo. Fans are peeved at him and most want him (and Whitner) traded.

BB also was very high on Evans pre draft so who knows. At the least Evans can be the deep burner type who commands respect as a big play guy.

Exactly, Vincent Jackson will not be coming to NE. I would be shocked if the team made a move to add a big name player this year

The Pats gave up a 3rd and a 5th for Burgess.

We look like the desperate ones in this trade just like we did when we traded for burgess.

If the vikings were the desperate ones on this trade they would've upped the ante like we did on burgess because thats what you do when your between a rock and a hard place(See the raiders giving us a top 10 pick).

Jack, I am a fan of specific athletes as well. Moss was a HOF player. I enjoyed watching him perform here. Because of Bill O'Brien we dump Moss? Evans has worn out his welcome for a reason. He's an overrated player.
It would be awesome to land Calvin Johnson but I don't think Detroit will do it.
They're always in rebuilding mode though so... who knows, maybe BB can fleece em the way the Vikes just fleeced us.

We dumped Moss because of Moss. Monday night was just the last straw for the team. He had, reportedly, been acting up all season and was, if not becoming, a bad influence on the locker room.

I love Moss too, when he's on the field... all the reports are saying that he was doing many of the wrong things OFF of the field and I have no issue removing that from the team.

The Patriots are a team that always finds a way to win, don't count us out because we lose one player.
