No I mean what was the joke about? Did BB do something to screw with Childress?
I seriously doubt it, I believe the joke is just making that up. The flip side is there's no love lost between BB and Childress via multiple minor incidents -- practice squad shenanigans, Childress criticizing BB, etc.
A little OT here, but I've never seen a coach with less personality than Childress. What a dour, humorless stiff. He makes BB seem like Jay Leno.
In 2007 Belichick asked Childress to not claim Garrett Mills off waivers. Childress not only claimed Mills, but he threw BB under the bus by making the request public and making a comment about him not being honest and straight forward.
Funny thing is that the move by Childress bit him in the butt. As a result of claiming Mills, he lost Tyler Thigpen, a QB he really wanted and needed that year. Some people also think it goes deeper than that, to something that happened when Childress was with the Eagles when the Pats played them in the Super Bowl.
It festered again last year when Childress claimed that he outsmarted Belichick by drafting Percy Harvin before the Pats could grab him. Others have countered that the Pats' interest in Harvin was just a smokescreen, and they were never interested - but Childress and the Vikings bought it.
Didn't BB in "retaliation" sign a LB off of the Vikings? I don't think he played a single snap for the Patriots...

Just looked back and shows that BB signed JT O'Sullivan a Qb from the Vikes PQ
I'd rather someone explained the front of that picture, if you knoiw what I mean. Wokka wokka.
2 other incidents come to mind. After the superbowl he complained that the patriots played alot of 4-3, after getting there by playing 3-4. He thought that wasn't right; that you should play what got you there, and not try to "trick" the other team.
After spygate he said that after the superbowl he wondered how the patriots always seemed to know when a blitz was coming. Brady answered by saying they prepared by watching every game the eagles played, and the eagles blitzed more than any other team in the league. Brady also said that if the eagles wanted to surprise them they should have dropped more men into coverage.
