They've been adding some talent probably due to it's availability and the need to match up against competition in the ratings. Pete is harmless but also talentless. As they get away from comic relief sidekick it's no surprise he would be gone. Meter should be next.

We rarely agree on Boston sports radio, but we definitely have a meeting on of the minds when it comes to assessing Pete Sheppart and Jon Meterperel.

There's no need to position McAdam as anything. His words do it enough without help from others.

Kinda surprised Pete went before Meter. It would be nice to see Pete maybe be on as a co-host once or twice a week. He actually knows what hes talking about when it comes to the Bruins and the Big Show doesnt have any Bruins people.

D&C is a bigger money maker than the Big Show. D&C are higher rated and morning drive is the biggest cash cow of any radio station. It has the most listeners.

As for the Bruins, there aren't many Bruins fans listening to the radio at least compared to other sports. Even when Dale and Holley do it, it seems they have to manufacturer interest.

It is good listening. Big O is trying to position McAdam as the resident moonbat and egg him on but hes not biting.

I forgot that Sean Grandy did the flashes back before Pete.

98.5 can win by hiring Shep as the flash guy for Felger and Mazz and can say, "EEI is on hard times...they can't afford quality on-air talent."

Never thought I'd see the day when DeOssie and Smerlas are on Fox News. Was just waiting for Greta to say, "Who are those guys?"

And Lenny Clarke, and Schilling (and Flutie). It was a WEEI fest behind Brown.

Couldn't agree more. I actually wish they could pair him with someone and get rid of Toucher and Rich when I get sick of D&C and want to hear sports talk.

Sheppard is a stage name and yes, he is of Italian decent. I forget his real last name. It wasn't unpronounceable IMO...

I will miss him...I agree take care of Meter..who I can not stand..I feel bad ..FUNNY how it was the best sports show and now...on bad times??? Getting tired of the political talk that all shows there have had..Too bad..I liked Pete....NOT good!!

I will miss him and I am sad to see him go. Over the past few weeks, a lot of the guys were poking fun at Butch Sterns for losing his job at Channel 25 and I kept saying to myself "a guy getting fired really shouldn't be a joking matter."

I am surprised they cut him loose because they need someone to fill in for Ordway during the 12 weeks of vacation he gets annually. (And no, that is not meant to be an exaggeration - the guy literally has something like 12 weeks of vacation written into his contract).

Love Pete. How can he be "laid off" after signing a contract ? Obv not guaranteed ? He should've been a LHP or a catcher.

The latest data I came across showed that D&C were #3 in the morning with a 6.1 share while the Big Show was #1 in the afternoon with a 7.5 share.

You need someone to talk hockey in the winter months. Last year when the Bruins were in the playoffs there was tons of hockey talk. You cant talk Celtics for 4 hours 5 days a week, and same thing with the Red Sox in the winter

They may have bought him out and/or the life of the contract he can't work in the market. Lots of ways to wiggle out of deals.
