Benji, 15 carries
Ridley, 15 carries
Woody, 8 carries

Green-Ellis 20-25 carries.
Ridley, Faulk, Woodhead combined 10-15 carries.

How about a pass completion over 30 yards? Not watching our midget possession WRs get jammed at the line of scrimmage.

Rodney Harrison and Lawyer Milloy at Safety

Ty Law and Terrell Buckley at Corner

Against the Jets

All in their primes of course

A man can dream,can't he?

Patriots victory, regardless of how it's achieved in terms of run/pass

Anything around a 50/50 split would be just what the doctor ordered IMO. The who to me isn't as imperative as the overall blend of run to pass. This team has to balance out their attack if they want to be successful going forward. NE has warts like every other team in the NFL, they just can't chuck it around the lot all day, won't work.

I couldn't for the life of me work out why the Patriots didn't run the ball against a suspect Giants run D on the weekend with our best RB (Green-Ellis) given he showed he could move the ball on them.

The offensive playcalling has left me scratching my head this season. It's either been fantastic or crap. No middle ground.

A win. Any way I can get it.

That's never going to happen. I'd be ecstatic if we can find a way to combine BJGE/Ridley for 25 carries but even that's most likely never going to happen on a regular basis.

Let's just hope for a win and no major injuries

Me neither? I was even more surprised with the Pittsburgh game. They didn't even try to run it. It was like they read the weekly press clippings on how they own the Steelers D through the air and didn't even think about. Same way with the Jets playoff loss last year. The Jets had 12 db's dressed for the game and played dime all day and they just stuck to their guns and kept chuckin it.

Sometimes I feel like Brady and BB sit in his office playing Madden and plan out their airiel exploitations for the upcoming game.

What this offense needs is to get into a rhythm and have a nice long drive on their first posession. that will do alot to set up the run game and the offense in general...its hard to do that with 3 and outs on your first posesssion

the thing is, when we end up playing from behind you see the offense go pass happy to catch up. Hence why I think our run-game has been spotty the last 3 games.

in the end, all I want is a W

.

Might have something to do with an inferior OC

When we've had a near 50-50 run/pass balance, our offense has been optimal, not just because of the run but because of the dangerous play-action.

If, this Sunday night, the run-pass ratio is not anywhere near even, we will lose, period.

What do i really want? 4 million dollars

What do i want sunday? a win

This. I really want to see a strong emphasis on running the ball. Even if it isn't the most effective running, make the Jets crowd the los so our receivers can get some breathing room.

This team will gain almost all of its offensive momentum from the pass for quite a while, but giving up on the run is just stupid. At least pretend you're going to use your RB who rushed for over 1k last season for the first time in half a decade.

edit: I'd be so happy to see a 40+ rush attempt ~25 pass attempt game plan with some effective play action.

against a team like the Jets we NEED to run...even if to make them respect it so that it opens up the playaction pass where brady can burn them.

welkers 73yarder in the last jets game came from play action

I'd like the Pats to end the game with more points on the scoreboard than the Jets...

That is what is baffling to me. How do those otherwise extremely intelligent minds just utterly fail to comprehend that one simple fact?

They dress all their run-stuffing DB's! The Vince Wilfork's of the defensive backfield. Athletes who can pick you off and bowl through your line at the same time.
