Rich Levine rips Goodell and Wells new ones, too.

Sometime today, or tomorrow, or over the next couple days, Roger Goodell will announce Tom Brady’s punishment for DeflateGate, and in a split second the world will go crazy. Or crazier, I should say. At any rate, as bad as this might get for the Patriots, there’s comfort in knowing that Roger Goodell has already lost; that no matter what he does, he’ll be wrong. He’ll be too harsh, or too lenient, or both at the same time. Either way, and as usual, the ship has sailed on the commissioner saving face, and as usual, now we wait for the runaway SS Goodell to come crashing into the docks and leave the NFL more polluted than it already is.

Square in the black. The only thing I am interested in at this point is getting Goodell and his posse of sycophant thugs the hell outta the league so it can start to once again be run by adults.

Felger just flat out lied about the phones in he Rice investigation. He said based on a Florio report (go figure) that they turned over their phones. Even Goodell. Well, as Levine states on page 47 of the Rice report, it is stated that League phones etc were checked. NOT personal phones. It is even clarified in Appendix 1C or something like that. It's right there in black and white.

I did wonder about that whole "He said you must be stressed trying to get them done" and I just thought it sounded weird when referencing ball preparations (which Wells obviously believes it references). It just stilted and weird and I'm not surprised at all that Jastremski says he was referring to someone else and not Tom there. It doesn't make sense to make that leap that he's talking about "Getting them done" as referring to deflating balls post ref check in an actual football game.

Turns out this is satire...as I said in the other thread I think most of us want there to be holes in the report so bad we don't see obvious jokes like this one.

Oh well, lots of other issues with the report to fall back on.
