X factor in all of this...

i was wondering about the psyche factor of brady having a kid. he did fine.

i once wondered about the psyche value of losing ty law, lawyer milloy, and company. we did fine.

after we won the first bowl, i thought we were going to suck for years to come, like the buccs. we didn't.

the patriots are officially more hated than the yankees through all the bad press last season.

Brady and bastard child
Brady wearing yanks cap

Running up the Score
Spy Gate II
Wilfork Eye-Poke
Moss and Rachell Washington (still waiting for updates on that)
Spy Gate III

even now they're going on about an unnamed player who admits to getting the other teams audibles before games and anything else they can beat a dead horse with.

but i digress. the pats have more mental resiliancy than you give them credit for. wait and see.

Guaranteed? Take Randy Moss off this offense and let's see how good it is. Now that Samuel is gone from the defense let's see who we have covering the TO's, Hines Ward's, and Reggie Wayne's of the world. NOTHING is guaranteed. The Bills are going to be much better next season. You people amaze me.

Much better? Im agreeing that they'll be better but they'll be a .500 team. At worst i can see us going 10-6, the Fins and Jets will be lucky to get 8 combined wins.

What's your point? Of course everyone would kill to have won 3 super bowl. Guess what? It does not mean a hill of beans in 2008. Who gives a rat's behind about the past? It's all about winning in 2008. Some people here just think we are going to strap on the helmets, don the shoulder pads, paste on the eye black and get back to the super bowl just because we are the New England Patriots. That loss was devestating. It is always hard for the super bowl loser the next season. You think we are immune to that just because we are the New England Patriots? Puhleaze. We are losing key guys and a lot of our guys on defense are not getting any younger. I think many of you are underestimating how difficult it is going to be next year. Forget the easy schedule. It's about how we are going to match up with the teams we face in the playoffs. Losing Moss and Samuel is not making us any better.

OK, that settles it! Let's blow the wad so we can compete - no, wait! - win it all in '08! (Not that that would be "guaranteed"!)

Of course, in '09 and later years, when we don't have anything left because we blew everything in '08, this guy will be back demanding to know why we're not winning Super Bowls!

There's just no pleasing some people, especially when they're just here to stir up the hornet's nest....

we've been making playoffs pretty consistantly. anyone can make the playoffs. put your money on the bills if you want.

i'm going with the patriots.

The defense is aging, but they are not the reason why the Pats lost the superbowl. The offensive line had their worst game of the season by far. Also I think Josh Mcdaniels showed a little bit of his inexperience, maybe BB should have done something about the offensive game plan. I saw them trying to go for big plays too many times, they should have taken what the defense gave them. The only drive that was good was there final drive, where they went for the short high percentage completions. The tyree catch was a freak play and just plain bad luck I guess.

It is true that we have lost some players, but that is all part of the process. You can't expect a team to sign every single player to big contracts, there is something called a salary cap. Although Belichek and Pioli have made some questionable moves we should see how this plays out. The draft is still there, and I am curious to see what they are going to do with there 7th overall pick.

Knowing BB they are probably going to trade down.

LOL! You think I can wait until the offseason is over before I make any predictions for 2008? LOL! Unlike some of you who want to engrave the Pats name as 2008 AFC EAST champs already, I would like to wait til the dust settles and see what our roster looks like first. Thank you.

There's only one above average QB in the AFC East, and his name is Tom Brady. There is no way we wont win the division next year.

At the very least I think the Pats will be a 10-6 team. The Pats are know for doing a lot with little. Not to say they will have a little next year, I am sure we will be getting younger on defense through the draft.

So far Asante is probably the biggest loss, but he was just asking for too much money. It is not worth signing him to a huge contract and leaving little cap space for future free agent signings.
