WTF?? Ridley??

The more I think about this, the more I can see the reasons why.

The older RB's (Taylor and Morris) probably won't return. "the man" KF may be retiring. RB's take a beating during the year. Getting a speedy RB w/ great hands (Vereen) and a bruiser (Ridley) can replace these older (and slower) guys w/ young legs. Factor that in w/ Green-Ellis and Woodhead & I am starting to get it.

Yes, I still wish we had a stud DE.

Mathias Kiwanuka any one? :confused2:

It doesn't tell the whole story but the combine results are fairly interesting.

Stevan Ridley

Combine
Height: 511
Weight: 225
40 Yrd Dash: 4.65
20 Yrd Dash: 2.66
10 Yrd Dash: 1.60
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 18
Vertical Jump: 36
Broad Jump: 09'10"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.21
3-Cone Drill: 6.78

Pro Day: 03/14/11
40 Yrd Dash: 4.66
20 Yrd Dash: 2.65
10 Yrd Dash: 1.66
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 21
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.17
3-Cone Drill: 6.78

Compared to Mark Ingram
Height: 5"9
Weight: 215
40 Yrd Dash: 4.62
20 Yrd Dash: 2.60
10 Yrd Dash: 1.55
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 21
Vertical Jump: 31 1/2
Broad Jump: 09'05"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.62
3-Cone Drill: 7.13

While Stevan Ridley is not the prospect that Mark Ingram is (there is more to rushing than combine numbers) Ridley's athleticism suggests that maybe he projects to more than just a goal line back.
