So true. We should've cut Brady and Moss to make room for Mike Elgin and Justice Hairston. At least then, more draftees would've made the team!

I actually thought you were being sarcastic at first, but yeah, if you take the time to listen to BB it's hard not to be continually impressed. Bottom line, BB and Pioli reached the point some time ago where you have to largely assume they know what they're doing. Not every pick hits, of course. But the percentage is fantastic.

No, it was a perfect storm of factors, including the fact that the roster was incredibly well stacked before the draft even took place, and the fact that the Pats had four comp picks they couldn't trade. [As I've pointed out before, the only roster moves that left me absolutely bewildered even at the time they were made were cutting Justin Rogers and not putting David Thomas on PUP.]
