The England we’ve come to know. Declan rice has really come a long way since last year. That was embarrassing from an England perspective. England sleepwalked their way through that game while the U.S looked like a team who wanted to be there. Southgate should be sent home. It's indefensible to leave Foden on the bench for Sterling. Foden is the country's 2nd best player and is one of their only true world class players. Until they made the changes well into the 2nd half England got nothing from their midfield. Kudos to the U.S though for taking the game to England and applying constant pressure. They came prepared and looked like the team who wanted to win.
Southgate has no balls and no imagination. Alexander-Arnold should have been in instead of Trippier but Southgate won't put him in because he's not great defensively. You have Kane who is a great finisher, but he's a guy who needs service and won't get it from Trippier. Foden is a world class player, but Southgate has no clue what to do with him. He's a guy who can create, which is exactly what that midfield needs. He should be in for Sterling. It's pretty telling when Englands first sub was Henderson. A game where the team was screaming for offence and he puts in a defensive midfielder. The England we’ve come to know. Declan rice has really come a long way since last year.

They should’ve let southgate go and hired conte
