Chris Berman out as face of ESPN's NFL coverage after this year

Chris Berman is out as the lead face and voice of ESPN's NFL studios hows after 31 years.

The 61-year-old Berman will step down as host of ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown," "Monday Night Countdown" and "NFL Primetime" after Super Bowl LI on Feb. 5, ESPN announced Thursday.

I am more and more optimistic about 2017 as each day passes.

berman was the least of espn's problems.

i actually enjoyed his " style " lol

Given how long he's been there, his salary is more than likely a problem for a company that is losing money hand over fist.

Berman out?!?!

"C'mon, man!"

This had been rumored for a while.

He was old school. I didn't have a problem with him really.

I think BB liked him.

That network is really going through an identity crisis.

Least of their problems is right. Just imagine who from the younger crowd could replace him?????

Nightmare scenarios: for ex, an ex-qb of the Lambs?

Harrison or Moss would be the only good possibilities (unless they went outside, which they cant afford).

I don't really have a problem with him so much, but his shtick was old. Kinda like a comedian that reuses the same joke everytime they perfoms.

I do enjoy the fact that espn has gotten too big for their britches.

Rex Ryan

He might have seemed harmless, but back during Spygate, he always shaded his views with a bias towards the patriots being cheaters, and never backed away from that. He also led the charge with Tomase' faux news story about New England filming the Rams' walkthroughs before the Superbowl.

I will never forgive him for that. Never.

LOL, yeah i guess he might be desperate at this point and so be cheap enough for bspn.

But he might just demand that his brother be hired too, as a cameraman or something. The Execs might have a problem with that
