Wolf has made worse GM decisions than post Brady BB

If Maye looked terrible, Wolf would've been fired after this season. Maye's the only reason that could give him more time even though almost everyone and their Mom mocked Maye to the Pats.
And how was the rest of Wolfe's Draft picks??

Not too long ago, we highlighted how the Los Angeles Chargers’ trade with the New England Patriots was shaping up to be an absolute steal.

However, it’s important to note that the situation keeps getting better and better for the Chargers—and worse for the Patriots.

The draft-day deal with the Patriots that allowed the Chargers to move up and select Ladd McConkey in the second round brought general manager Joe Hortiz both the No. 34 and No. 137 picks.

While McConkey has understandably drawn most of the attention, and for good reason, it’s also worth noting how impactful that No. 137 pick has been. Before suffering an injury, McConkey led the Chargers in receiving, catching nine of Justin Herbert’s 16 completions for 117 yards in their win over the Atlanta Falcons. He’s now totaled 815 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

But the No. 137 pick also yielded cornerback Tarheeb Still, who was the star of the Falcons win, intercepting two Kirk Cousins passes—one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Still’s performance was so impressive that the NFL even sent him a random drug test at his locker following the game.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have seen just 12 receptions from Ja'Lynn Polk (No. 37) and three special teams return attempts from Javon Baker (No. 110) over eight games—players they acquired in exchange for the picks involved in the McConkey trade.

Though it's still early, it certainly feels as though the Chargers pulled off a heist, landing two potential franchise cornerstones at key positions with McConkey and Still.

Who is making the picks is more important than position. The real reason this feels so bad is because all the Pats picks outside of Maye have been bad. Many of the players don't look like they even belong in the NFL, never mind starting as rookies. At this point there is enough of a track record to question Wolf's ability to identify NFL talent. You can't develop if you don't draft good players.

What bothered me the moment they made the deal was that they didn't get any extra picks, just little jump in day 3. It felt like moving down for no reason.

I tried it wouldn’t let me for some reason.

Tis the season for treason
Oh God but not same thieving as Jerod
trickin Kraft that’s a tickin time bomb get back
It’s the same kind of gaff as mucking up the second round of the draft by trading back getting absolutely jacked, shouldn’t we stay pat and grab Ladd?
McConkey? Nope here’s the joke why don’t we select Polk?
But aren’t we glad that Ladd has more receptions and explosion?
Nah that’s the obvious decision we could make that pick without vision
Listen to what I’m saying we going Jalynn Polk folks hold the jokes he ain’t hit his prime yet it just hasn’t been time yet he hasn’t blown any minds yet.
Or detonating like a Mine field. But we feel he can play the whole field and he will.
can he see the field in 2024? What you need to chill he’s just learning the game and how not to draw a penalty he’s starting to get catching down but every pass he drops he’s reaching his ceiling which is as high as a astronaut. If you hear him tell it he says he’s ready for the hall of fame did I mention his name is Polk the folks will surely love the pick. Ring Ring Jerod this is the wolf look I took another look at the tape I think we made a mistake the kid looks to run on cement skates and his knowledge are we sure he went to college he’s definitely not polished and Lads the number 1 in LA what else do I need to say I think we blew this pick I’m going to be sick ugh that’s Kraft on the other line click.

Mike Evans says hold my beer.

King Tet Scouting Report:

McMillan boasts a rare combination of size, hands, and route-running acumen that scouts covet in a WR1 prospect. His ability to win at all three levels of the field, coupled with his red-zone prowess, projects him as a day-one impact player. McMillan's route tree sophistication and ability to create separation through technique suggest a high floor as he transitions to the pro game.

McMillan has the kind of hands that a quarterback will come to love. He’s effortless with how he plucks the ball away from his frame, vacuums in passes quickly, and converts into a run-after-the-catch athlete.

At the next level, McMillan profiles as a scheme-versatile receiver who can be moved around the formation to create mismatches. His contested catch ability and knack for making plays in crucial situations should make him a favorite target on third downs and in the red zone. While he may face an adjustment period against the physicality of NFL corners, his college production against top competition indicates he has the tools to overcome this challenge.

McMillan's ceiling as a potential alpha receiver, combined with his floor as a reliable possession target, positions him as one of the premier wide receiver prospects in this draft class. His skill set and physical tools align with what NFL teams seek in a franchise wideout, making him a likely early selection and a player expected to make an immediate impact at the next level.

My big question is this-Can he get open at the NFL level?

If he can then the rest of that scouting report means he’s a great prospect. If he can’t the rest doesn’t matter.

Pretty embarrassing way to lose last Sunday. If one person has to go, I think it’s the FO people first like Wolf/Groh that gets their asses kicked out the door. They spent well over $100M on players on a 4 win team in 2023, with a new QB, but still only have 3 wins.

Mayo has shown to be a terrible leader, so I hope they cut the cord now as well.

I get that you need to have confidence, especially at that position. By my god, when will this kid shut up and actually let his play do the talking?

**** this ****ing clueless ****ing bonehead ****ing pile of ****ing trash Bust… and the ****ing IDIOTS who ****ing brought him here and should be ****ing FIRED for it.

To be fair to Wolf, even if he's picked good prospects, without good coaching the prospects aren't going to develop into good players.

Maye obviously is an outlier.

An overlooked aspect about BB's drafts was that there were always late round picks who develop into solid contributors especially at the height of the dynasty. You gotta give credit to the staff for developing those players. More than anything, BB's staff getting poached all over the place and leaving him with a skeleton staff at the end of his run was as much of his demise as the bad draft picks.

All that to say that while some of this past year's draft picks haven't turned out well outside of Maye, I still think with good coaching some of these guys can be contributors.

Polk coming out of college didn't have issues with his hands and his strengths actually was that you could throw the ball around him and he would go get the ball.

His scouting report -

— Excellent ball tracking skills and catch radius.
— Great hands. Consistent catching technique with strong, reliable grip.
— Above-average play strength and physicality.
— Above-average burst and twitch for his size. Helps generate YAC.

We see none of this now.

Forgot to mention the ****ing Clowns "coaching" him to do absolutely ****-All.

The only way a player will sign with the Patriots is if they offer the most money. Bob Kraft
will only approve deals that are below average money.

There must be a former player somewhere like Amendola, Edleman, or Welker who could scout and help develop players.
Troy Brown proved to be a dismal failure.

Even worse than BB the GM
Unacceptable and he does not deserve another year. Team will not have a successful rebuild with this kind of decision making
