Wolf has made worse GM decisions than post Brady BB

We can make it right on Black Monday... Ben Johnson - Kliff Kingsbury - Kellen Moore and Bobby Slowik.
Hard NO on Kliff Kingsbury. The others are still unknown quantities who could be great or not.

And that's the chance we have to take. I wan't a Offensive minded HC who have legit experience. Not a RK ball washer.

Never thought I would say this earlier in the year, but I'm okay with the offensive improvement. Still need an improved red zone package, but I think the offensive group has grown even with the limitations of the offensive line. I want Flores or Vrabel, strong, forceful head coaches. I'm not certain I want to start with a new offensive system. You can talk about how wondrous, McVay, McDaniel et al are with their motion and play design but it's still mano a mano and the defense still wins the championship.

Yeah now they need to finish drives in the RZ. Helps if they don't take penalties there.

It's probably pretty easy when you're what? The 4th option at best?

Like seriously. Hill, waddle and achane would all be our best offensive player had we had them in the years Smith was here.

Smith didn't do him self any favors either.
I mean duh. That's been the problem for us on offense for years. We have 3's and 4's and want them to be 1's and 2's.

You fire a coach after one year while he is within 1 win of the last coach with this absymal roster after firing the GOAT the year before and not a single guy you named even takes an interview with this team.

Mayo is not a HC: he's some sort of abnormal transplant.

Weird that he has more wins than the GOAT at this time last year

Listen I'm not saying he is ultimately going to be the guy. But switching coaches is not making this roster win more than 1 or 2 games and you'd still be crying. And if you want a good coach to replace him, making this franchise look like a ****show of Jets level proportions is not going to attract anyone you think is worthy.

Let's be realistic. No good coach would want to come here.

Much better options exist elsewhere. We just have to put this season also on wolf , Mayo and AVP and hope they shine.
I hope they can get a more experience DC. Maybe Matt Patricia or someone from Pittsburg or Ravens. We need 2 defensive coaches - one experienced and one upshot coach. Covington should be demoted or fired.

Go and sign 3 players of note in free agency and I am confident we will get 2 contributors from draft and maybe 2 might develop . That's 7 better players next year . We can possibly look to upgrade coaching and front office in 2026 if it doesn't pan out as expected .

We need to sign tee Higgins. He is going to be well North of 30 million

Spoiler: Pats will be "in the mix", but ultimately lose out on Higgins.

I tend to agree with that sentiment . But let's see if Drake maye is a good draw along with pick 1 and 120 million cap space .

If Higgins signs here we might not be forced to overdraft McMillan . Else we would need to.

Considering this is a borderline okay draft class I would want us to trade down and get some assets for 2026.

Pats had $100M in cap space last offseason and their big external additions were KJ Osborn and Chuks Okorafor. Wolf is the worst GM in the league and will drive this franchise off the cliff if he isn't fired.

overdraft McMillen? A 6'5 WR with elite athleticism, YAC, and separation ability is reaching? As opposed to passing on WR in round 1 and waiting until the dreaded round 2 to draft another Thornton or Polk?

McMillan relies a lot on height but in NFL cornerbacks are also super tall and there is not much time and they are extremely acrobatic. So not sure how well the height and physicality will help. Seems more like a tight end to me . Again I am nonexpert and could be really wrong.

Let's be honest nobody wanted to come here. Ridley , aiyya or the Jets tackle are not tearing it this year. So at least we have residual 30 million to overspend next year . But yes, our draft has been rank bad last year . So I am hoping wolf makes some course corrections. I am sure he would be wiser after Polk debacle .

We are not sure if a new guy will also hit it out the park, but at least we know that wolf will be determined to try to hit it outta the park. So let's keep the belief and hope he repays it.

I'm not giving Wolf the benefit of the doubt given that he's been here for years of disastrous drafting and his first draft in the driver seat is completely awful outside of Maye (who Nike would have picked).

They also extended Rham for $9M annually when Derrick Henry signed for $8M in Baltimore. I’m not saying they could’ve had Henry (because he wouldn’t go to NE), but an example of a bad contract.

There was no demand for Dugger, yet the Pats signed him to a top S contract.

Barmore was signed prematurely and they could’ve signed him to less next season.

I wish the Patriots could have gone after Jim Harbaugh. Instead we’re stuck with Mayo.

Belichick had to leave. He drove this rebuild into the gutter with pretentious, condescending, Machiavellian type decisions as a GM. Had he chose to just coach while agreeing to relinquish his GM duties, maybe he sticks around longer.
At the time there was really no HC that would have been willing to come here without a QB. That and the fact Mayo's hiring was already contractual.

That's right. Woof! Woof!
