It's time for Marcus Jones to be on Kick Return.

I don't need to see Stevenson back there ever again, and I'll just assume Vrabel semi-panicked. They'll kick to him every time, and we'll get 18 yard kick returns, and pray he doesn't fumble.

Pull the trigger, Mike.

We were screaming at our TVs all night especially that last kick return which did wind up in Henderson's hands not Rham but teams will just kick away from Henderson if the second guy isn't Marcus.

Totally agree here Tommy. Once Gibson was out every kick was to Rham and he just looks SAF and we got ****ty field position. I also held my breath once he made contact with anyone.

Interesting that you think following a depth chart is panicking.
The decision was made weeks ago, and implemented when the injury happened.

I think we feel that the current rules require a bigger guy returning kicks rather than a small fast guy.

In another thread today a poster suggested that with Gibson out, it's time for Marcus Jones to get some snaps at RB. I've also seen calls to give Jones a chance at WR. Meanwhile he's playing 78% of snaps on defense. Busy boy.

Yeahhh, I'm all set with him playing offense, to be honest. I understand the sentiment, but that's probably way too much on his plate for too little actual return.

Our 2nd KR will be whoever we sign/activate/elevate.

I was kidding rooted in the idea I just want the ball in his hands. Not kidding about WR though he should have a small package of end arounds and screens.

Plus Marcus Jones hasn't been the most durable.

I don't want him on kick returns.

Too valuable elsewhere.
If MJ took a shot like Gibson there goes a very good DB for the season.

I know pop has returned a few punts in past seasons but I don’t think he’s returned kicks for us, Might be worth a try? Plus Sometimes when a wr is struggling to make plays its good to find other ways to get the ball in his hands.

Other than treyeveon and marcus who they don’t seem to want to use on kr i can’t picture anyone else on the usual gameday rosters being any better at it.

Please post evidence of his great success as kick returner in college.
Why don’t you post your not evidence of his not great success as a not kick returner in not college…

Does not help out the RB room, but looking at the list of free agents there is a DB out there named DiCaprio Bootle…

Because we can post evidence of Marcus Jones' great success at kick returns here pretty easily.
8 times as a matter of fact.

17 games of 75 percent snaps at DB is worth more than a few KRs. What if they put him out there and he does in his knee. Reserve him for the most important snaps.

Yes, let's put worse players on the field because you're afraid of them getting hurt.
Always a genius take.
