will we see some Belichick-ean roster manipulation?

I'm not saying you should Rush em: but I like that Vrabel likes playing Rookies.
Edited my post, but I remember Shane Vereen sitting for no reason as a 2nd round pick and James White sat in 2014.

Well they always had a guy that Brady love/like in Danny Woodhead and the aforementioned Shane Vereen before Sweet Feet White. That said: we Never had that luxury @ WR but BB with his abysmal Drafting thought we did.

Barefoot Hollins best years in the NFL: though not earth shattering have been under Josh McDaniels. I have learned my lesson I'm not doubting him anymore. I think he could be even better this year he gets' meaningful snaps.
His year in LV was terrible. He okayed 97% of the snaps and had less than 700 receiving yards. Last year was actually a big better but he is still way, way below average as a receiver.

They weren’t ready to play because they didn’t understand blitz pickup.
They sat for a very good reason.

Barefoot does the little things: you need those kind of Players on your Team. I think he could be really nice with AJB and Doubs: he could be a dangerous afterthought. It's no mystery Maye like throwing to Big Wide Receivers *with catch radius*.

I’d rather have a receiver who can get open than an afterthought.

silly comment
Maye/McD are spreading the ball around, even more so this season
Hollins saw 65 targets. he caught 70% of those targets
12 yards per rcpt
he does not need to "be open" to be extremely effective at WR
he also plays ST
last season, sensational value player

Morton, Bryant, Crownover, Arkin, Chism are all players the team may want to try and protect and get to the PS
Pretty sure we wouldn't have to protect any of them if we cut them. Maybe crownover.

A WR doesn’t need to get open?
He played 3 snaps per game of special teams

I think the whole "Foxboro Flu" and roster manipulation stuff was an exaggeration, but BB did take some liberties with the roster that Vrabel wouldn't, IMO. Like if BB had a star player on PUP for camp and then before the season they figured he could be back for like week 4, I think he'd leave the guy on PUP for 6 weeks to get an extra roster spot whereas Vrabel would want the guy back as soon as he's available. But I think that's more a testament to how crazy good the rosters were when BB was here (until the end obviously) that he knew he could play games like that and still win. Obviously the current team looks good and, but they're a far cry from just penciling themselves into the playoffs and being able to go sleepwalking through the regular season like this peak BB years.

What team do you think he would be a 32 year old starter on?
The Giants for one

They are thin at WR - I think they'd be interested as they've been mentioned as a possible Boutte landing place (or a player swap for Thibedeaux)

Indy, KC and Detroit are also considered thin at WR

Hollin's 46 passes caught over 15 games probably seems awful to many Patsfans who expect much much more from our #4 WR (and potential backup TE) but I think teams will be interested in signing him, over say, Chism who had all of 3 catches last season.

I would add Schooler to the list of players not ready week 1
